I briefly met tim a 2 years ago but was in tattoo fog and didnt properly introduce myself when he came up to me. Last October @cvportagee and I walked up to him and he was so easy to talk with and gave both of us numbered prints of his "tattoo apprentice" drawing. He seemed genuinely excited to do my stomach. He is a busy man and honestly His approach is quite refreshing IMO. I mean he could keep it straight business and have a 2 yr wait and funnel everything through assistants but he seems to be more interested in tattooing friends, other tattooers and shit he really likes to do rather than take all comers.

you have been given about 15 artists to check out from guys who have arguably been getting tattooed and following tattooing longer than you. Its up to you to heed this advice. As far as cost I have seen too many times the less expensive artist take substantially longer to finish a tattoo, which translates into equal or more expensive tattoo when its said and done. I am not saying Dan is not going to give you a good tattoo but you took enough time to sign up and ask for advice and admittedly have a lack for recognizing a quality tattoo.

@littlecreatures I flew in for scott to do my back and I agree, it was a great experience. A cool tattoo is end game but supporting down to earth people who love tattoing is affixed to the goal of getting a cool tattoo. I have to get something else from him next time our paths cross.

on a similar note I watched prisoners last weekend, and have been thinking about this often over past week helps cement my sentiment that people generally suck. side note that dark haired woman from @cltattooing video in the waitress uniform is gorgeous

if your going down 1-35 to ROA you should think about adding Pair-O-dice to your list Richard and Jennifer stells new shop in Tulsa oklahoma. You could also stop in Norman on way to austin and I could show you some good eats.
