After reading that post a few times I think I understand it and to answer your question You need to get a huge ass crawling panther or a ROA.

I didn't realize this was the thread you posted when you quit your job. I stepped down from being the manager of my department at my night job. They brought me in the office to offer me a promotion, and somehow my reaction was to tell them I was done being in a leadership role. I have managed to rearrange my schedule so I can eat dinner with the family 4 nights a week and didn't take a pay cut. Also I have more flexibility to go to the shop when I am needed on my days off from there.

Prior to getting tattooed in NYC, I totally did the tourist thing of going to the Statue of Liberty. That was a lot of fun.
But, Thursday night a bunch of pals and I got together and made guitar pedals using perfboard and following schematics. That was awesome, mostly b/c I cannot solder for shit.

besides getting tattooed, which is also awesome but that's for a different thread.
Just got back from a guest-spot at Godspeed Tattoo in Breckenridge Colorado, where everybody are the friendliest tatbros. Did a early morning/sunrise canoe trip on a mountainside lake, skated at several different skateparks, several mountain trail bike rides, camped out for a few days way high in the mountains with good friends P Wee, Miho, and Joel Long, did some 4 wheeling in a jeep in same area, and had a campfire drawing session with P Wee & Joel.
    Can't wait to go back.

I LOVE this city!!! There is art everywhere! Lots of tattoos! Eye candy to the max!
It is also sunny and I've been deep in the dark days of the Seattle winter and early spring, so maybe my sudden and intense (though hardly new) love for this place is influenced by the sun and warm(er) weather...
Getting some work done at a coffee shop before a tattoo afternoon...today is a good day!

I started an apprenticeship 3 or 4 months ago. I am in the shop 3 days and work 3 days plus a few hours on the days I am in the shop.
I have been offered the desk job at the shop for a small wage to allow me to be in the shop more and hopefully learn faster. I feel very lucky to have been offered this and am working my notice now to allow me to take up the position full time.
Things seem to be slightly different in the UK, it is rare that you would pay for a good apprenticeship, there is a shop fairly local that have 3 apprentices that have all paid £2,000.00 and are just sat around the shop as the shop just isn’t busy, as someone mentioned earlier it seems that the shops that charge over here are the ones that need the cash whereas if a shop thinks you have the potential to bring in clients they are more likely to actually try to pass on some knowledge.
    Back to the original question;
I agree that there are too many tattooers, but certainly in the UK the majority aren’t great.
I think in an ideal world good tattooers who are willing to teach things the right way and of course who actually want to apprentice someone do so as that is the only way that the right way will continue, I know that’s just common sense.
I also think that people who are in it for the wrong reasons ought to stop taking advantage of people to make some quick ££.
And finally I think people should stop looking to be offered an apprenticeship over the internet (obviously not aimed at anyone here). Some of the other forums I use every other post is just a request for someone to get in touch and offer to teach them.

Ahhhh, so lucky to have the job I have. Only rarely do I wake up not excited to go to work. (Not a tattooer, a speech therapist). :)

Delicious you're still very young, don't worry about it. The point is not to mold yourself into the perfect woman that men will like. Be who you are and you will eventually find someone who loves you for exactly that. Trying to mold yourself into what you think a man wants is crazy. First off, every man has a different idea of the perfect woman. Second, what will the point be in 10 years when you have a man, but don't have yourself? Besides, peoples opinions change. If you asked my husband 10 years ago, he didn't like tattoos on anyone. But we met, had tons in common, he looked past the tattoos, and now he loves them on me and admires them as an art form. People change and have the capacity to look past things they may not love, and even change their minds. So don't stress it, get the tattoos you want, and give it time. You'll find someone who loves you for you.

Also will add..just b/c a guy says they don't like tattoos on women..doesn't mean they wouldn't date you if they liked you. I find tattooed men more attractive than non tattooed, but that would never stop me from dating a non tattooed guy. We all have a list if preferences, we don't need to have every one fulfilled.

I'm personally grateful for the built-in filter that my tattoos provide; I have enough now that the guys who don't like 'em mostly don't bother to approach me. Narrowing the dating pool a little isn't necessarily a bad thing--a whole category of "not good for me" I don't have to worry about!
My current boyfriend has no tattoos but has seen me through about half of my collection, and has been pretty supportive of it.

My wife was quite supportive of my decision to get a tattoo last year. The tattoo I got since then, and the ones I have planned for the future - not so much. I'm not entirely surprised; we'd been married for 13 years and I hadn't made more than a passing reference to wanting a tattoo; and now that I've started collecting it is a big change.
At least she hadn't been. Major tattoo relationship news - she had been dead set against the idea of her ever getting one of her own. Then a couple weeks ago she started collecting ideas on pinterest. Fast forward to today and I find myself on the phone with the Pearl Harbor Gift Shop starting to plan out us both going in to get tattoos, mine by Tim and hers by Lissa.
Very exciting times - and proof that anyone can change their mind about tattoos!

Last Sparrow Fight Club, oh shit I talked about it.
I just wonder what we have to talk about that would be so secret. I Also, does it become a popularity contest to gain access, like if Rubendall and Grime (just examples) joined the forum, would we make them rack up some posts before allowing them access to good stuff.
But I am really up for giving anything a try.

So I finally watched this shit. And with as.. confusing (?) as it was, it's more sad than anything. Girl was obviously super fucked up and has a ton of shit she's dealing with and to me, it's more infuriating that this was "a thing" and a "sensation." I don't really have a good response here.. I hope she's figured out how to wipe.
