My arm always swells after laser. What I have learnt from my last two lasers sesions not all lasers feel the same. I,m going to a place that has all 3 lasers to hit each of the colours I have, two hurt and one hurts like fuck so it depends on what laser your being hit by. I have also started getting it lasered twice in one session "r20" I think it's called, he goes over the colors with the various lasers then hits the lot again, pretty aggressive and I blister but it heals fine.

Not sure if this is where I'm supposed to introduce myself or if I'm blind!
Anyway I'm Luke I'm from the UK, I'm 22 currently working on a full sleeve of traditional bits and bobs, here a couple of pieces I've had done for those interested.
Nice tattoos Luke, who's the artist

Great work this month!
On a side note, this has been on my mind since joining, by the way. I might be completely out of line here, but I gotten the impression that some people, and I am not gonna name names, nor can I think of a specific example, vote solely for the Name of the artist rather than the art itself.
I will just add that some one might post a tattoo of some "no name" artist that is better than one of our favorites.
Sadly, I think the votes would go to the tattooer that LSTers are familiar with.
Again, just a thought from the "Community Prick" aka me! lol
If you have favourite artist then you will like there work, hence that's why they are your favourite artist.
I'm no artist but i am a draughtsman so i know how to draw, you can put the best artist's tattoo in front of me and if the lines are shakey and its not technically perfect then i wont like it, its all about personal taste.
Anyway this monthly vote is just a bit of light hearted fun.

Not to sure if I have won this month or not it is very close, If in fact I have been lucky enough to win the shirt is there anyway I could donate it to a LST member that might need it more than I do. What is happening in NYC is terrible and if I can help by passing on a fresh new T shirt I would like to do thatWell done Dumpleton looks like you pipped me at the post, last time i looked a week ago we was both the same.
Nice front piece and a deserved winner.

Thanks for the answers @Mike Panic, but i meant how long to leave the last laser before covering the faded tattoo with a new tattoo, how long for the skin to settle to take the new ink?

@Mike Panic nice to have a laser guy posting here
Couple of questions if you don't mind.
Reason i hunted down a ruby is other laser operators have said its the only laser that will fade green and the wiki page i have read also confirms this. I have had 3 yag laser sessions on a 22year old already faded tattoo and the black has say 60% faded but the green, purple and blue has remained unchanged. But you say the yag can do all the colours? like i said above i can report back with experience of a ruby laser in 6 weeks time.
What aftercare do you recomend? at the moment i have some pretty big blisters so i'm just leaving all alone and letting my body sort it out. On my second laser i blistered which has left some small marks i hope will fade over time.
Also how long do you recomend between the last laser and the cover up?
@Dan S i'm nearly there for a cover up but i'm now on a mission to fade them as much as possible so i have minimal compromise. I put no thought into the old tattoos i'm lasering, i was 16 and just wanted a tattoo, didnt really care what or how good they where...! If they wasn't on my forearm i would of covered them with a purple rose of something by now.

I don't have an elaborate home system but I'm still using my old Nikko amp and Bozak floor speakers bought in the 80's, and they still sound good.
yea a good amp and speakers will always be that, even at 20+ years old they will still have better sound than most ipod docks etc i see in shops today, think my speaker wire alone cost more than most peoples hifi in its day. My gear must be 7 years old now and i'm sure ill still have the amp and speakers for another 7. The source may change though but i still like to have something physical to play ie cd's, ipods for me are still only for the car but like slayer's modern set up i might have to give in to a dac\lossless source sooner or later, did i get that last bit right slayer...LOL.
-
Not really into it but have always owned good separates with proper speakers, have a naim\spender set up at the moment.
Both British made;
Naim Audio | Home Stereo Equipment | High End Sound | High-fidelity | Hi-fi System

If your trying to knock out colour then read the wikipdia here, if not any laser will knock black out, you get Ruby, Alexandrite and YAG.
Tattoo removal - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
i today have just driven a 2hour round trip to go somewhere that has all 3 lasers. Went over it today with two lasers for each colour and then over the lot again with the yag to knock the black out, it hurt a bit..:p my arm is now blistered and twice the size it should be, oh the fun of laser. Before it was just a standard pass with a yag so i will report back if the results are noticeable better.
today was my 4th session, i reckon ill need 6 so the total will be about £700 with a year of laser plus a 6month rest before the cover up, you need to be motivated to do it.
edit; oh yea the guy i went today with all the gear had the blow air cooling thingy, that soothed and helped a lot.

in the world of black and grey your tattoos are awesome, but when you going to get a colorful snake and dagger or something........:p

I'd be interested to know how much money each of us went through during our visit, i spent £200 on a tattoo and not much else but it looks like there was a lot more money being spent by the rest of you!
Not a lot really, i drove as i live in east london and parking all day was only £5, which is the cheapest all day parking in london i have known for a long time. Programs where free which was nice, no tattoos for me. I bought the girlfriend a new top for £20 and spent about £30 on food and drink.
Didn't feel like i was being ripped off at all.
Thick Scab/Scar
in Tattoo After Care
Posted
Is the spot on a skin crease from body movement? also assuming you are right handed, hence why its only the right rose. The only scab I have had from my last 8 tattoos was on my arm ditch from too much movement, I did keep it moist to stop it cracking and was carefull not to knock it off, it healed fine in the end.
Nice roses btw.
