Getting my right arm finished this week ... TOMORROW! Baby O'Boogie's first full sleeve. :-) Aw.

Really excited about it! Haven't seen the design yet, but I'm sure I will love it. Josh never lets me down.

You'll be able to see straight through the rose. That won't work as a cover-up.

Also, when you get it touched up, don't wash and lotion it so much. Just keep it clean and let it heal.

I can't stop looking at the scribbles around the side. Why did you do that?

Unrelated: This reminds me of that woman who got upset that a really good tattoo artist refused to tattoo her kid's name on her neck in an ugly font. She had one or two other tiny tattoos, and she wrote a whole article about how awful he was and how she got some hack to tattoo the name on her anyway.

update: braved up and went to my second appointment with a new artist and i am so happy that i did. there is some veeery minor blowout but overall the tattoo is just perfect. as for my first tattoo, the blowout is official and probably here to stay. there is a blue tint atound much of it and one part looks like i have been beaten up just recently... not nice... will definitely have to head back to cover it with more design. how long do you think i should wait before doing that? 

You'll probably just have more blowouts. They aren't something you can control, really. It just happens sometimes.

I was hoping there were some qualified tattoo artists on here though that might be able to offer some insight into what I could do. Problem is, I live in Dubai, where you can't just find a tattoo parlour on the street, so I'm hoping for some info online.

We are mostly collectors, not artists. I tend to agree with Hogrider. Start with some laser.

I like it. Nice tattoo.

Never had a stencil ready a day or two in advance. I see it when I arrive. That's totally normal.

I'd talk to an artist about how to cover it up. We're just tattoo fans, not artists.

Way too early to worry about all that. Just let it heal then figure out what to do next.

Ask him. We are tattoo fans here, not tattoo artists (for the most part). Just ask him to explain.

It looks good to me. Just let it heal. 

You're over-doing the after care. Just leave it alone and let it heal.

Some artists will say they use what they use, but you may find someone who uses the kind of ink you want.
