@Sinclair89 jacksonville has inksmith and rogers which is pretty well regarded around here

hey but there is also a shop right in universal - hart and huntington - they might even have an "inkmaster" standing by for ya

Inksmith is where I got all my stuff thus far and some of the boys like Jswed and Mike Wilson are on the interviews for LST.  I love them to death but its probably my hometown pride. Edit: Had to remove playing favorites since I love Inksmith as a whole.

And DUDE, I saw your mon mon cat on IG. I love it hard. Is it in color or B/G? I'm on his wait list...how long did you wait or are you in his rotation?

Bizarrely underrated strategy.  It's funny how quickly you can get answers by picking up a phone, even if sometimes the answer is to send an email.

Thanks guys, I was just complaining mostly, the fact that I got answered was a nice surprise.  Annie I sent a back-up email to her, Horitomo I called 6 months ago because I freaking forgot when I had called originally called to get on the list and they said they would call me when it was my turn when I asked them when my estimated month or wait time left was. Back to Annie I emailed 2 years ago and got nothing, this time she used a different email, I assume to help sort her convention emails from her normal flood of emails. Failing Annie or another heavy hitter at a nearby convention I will start after: Brad Stevens, Bart Bingham, Steve Byrne, Myrah Oh, and Bailey Hunter Robinson, and recontacting Annie, in no particular order.

P.S. I have been hovering over my email account and phone in general because I am giddy at the slight chance to get Annie.

  4. How does everyone get people to answer their emails, I am having a hard time getting in contact with any artist I try to get a hold of.  I am waiting and hoping to hear from Annie Frenzel for the Tampa tattoo convention, and Horitomo is supposed to be coming up this month, I think, I hope. This is more rhetorical banter to vent my jealousy than actual question.

Sounds like you will be a busy man in September, can't wait to see the photos

but that's the best part for me,I try and get a couple m&ms and a couple skittles at the same time ! it's a great combo ! :8_laughing:

    so I  am a  psychopathic anarchist  ?  cool !

you said it not me man haha
So far good rest and dinner the night before has done lifetimes worth of good for my tattoos
my tattoo essentials so far have been:

    My leg.

    And...
    1. A driver usually ( all my work is my right leg so far and im far too wimpy to drive afterwards)
    2. 2-4L of water because hydration is cool
    3. A chai latte before because they make me feel cozy and relaxed
    4. Sticky bun for the half-way point (usually the first break after lining is finished)
    5. Some good stories and conversation starters so me and my artist can have a good time.

    6. The optional step is 3 days off of everything to rest and recuperate, my leg usually looks like a bunch of grapefruits packed in a sausage case the next few days after.

  6. People who get tattoos based on how cheap an artist is and not on his quality of work in general or in that specific style.  Even worse is people who are upset with what their money got them but continue to search for "deals".  The scratchers in my town are real and they abundant, the people willing to see them are in kind.

  7. Hello everyone, my name is Oiocha and I found this site about a year and a half ago after Mike Wilson and Scott Sylvia posted about the interview they shared.  About myself and my tattoos: I am currently in college and live in Jacksonville, FL.  I am an avid and competitive rock-climber, I enjoy punk music, comic books, kayaking, and exploring cities. I have been slowly getting tattooed having started at Inksmith & Rogers where I think I get solid work from.  I have an appointment for my first large format tattoo as a back piece with Horitomo coming up (not sure when exactly, I called last June and was told a year and a month; I hope they call soon). Right now my coverage is only my leg.  I invite any questions and conversation from people.  Here is an album I keep on imgur: Tattoo Album
