Here frands:
Feeling pretty tattoo-flu-y, but I have a steak on the way, and then it's time to drink every water and sleep every sleep. So happy that we finished the areas that were the most painful for me during lining, though.
Couldn't be happier.

Finally, I called State of Grace today and Horitomo's assistant picked up the phone and I called the day she was making appointments. She was really happy to book me the moment I called since I asked for a MonMonCat back piece. I fly out mid-march for consultation since I want to meet and talk in person for the consultation.

Im driving up to Deventer (2,5 hour drive from where I live) for a consult with Pawel Jankowzki to start my second (right) sleeve. Even though I'm not getting any new ink tomorrow, just excited to start the whole process again :D I printed out the pictures and stuff 3 weeks ago, lol

Oiocha reacted to velvetlover36 in Chad Koeplinger's 50 State Tattoo Trip
Got this from Chad back in July at Inksmith. My only complaint about the tattoo is that he didn't start until about an hour and a half after my scheduled appointment, and he even made the comment about being known for starting tattoos late...he was basically just shooting the shit in the shop, so it wasn't like he was finishing up someone else's tattoo.
Other than that, it was a great experience and he's a really cool guy to talk to. I'm planning on moving up to Chattanooga next year and was a little concerned about finding a tattoo shop in the area...when he informed me that he was opening one in Nashville next year, I was elated.

My Dad went into the Marines at the end of WWII - this is him in July 1946, just scored as high shooter in his training platoon at Parris Island. His tattoo was a killer skull with a snake intertwined in the eyes and mouth. I wish I could show him mine now - he died in 1997 while I was commanding a battalion in Bosnia - but he was my incentive to finally do it. I'm still looking for that rifle - serial number 2860035. I've come close to it and have several M1 Garands in my collection. I know that he would have never considered putting something on him that reflected an image of Nazi Germany, Imperial Japan, North Korea or China. Still, he loved the oriental and German cultures and visited Asia and Europe many times over the years before he died.
