It looks great,really it does.I got my first tattoo on my chest.I went to a small shop the tattooer had great traditional tattoos so I figured he could do what I wanted.I was wrong.I hated the experience,the atmosphere,everything about getting tattooed.And....I got a very bad tattoo.It bothered the heck out of me until I learned that there were good tattooers.I booked with one and started getting great tattoos.I have a bunch now and the first one doesn't bother me at all anymore.

Finally got around to taking a healed pic of above tattoo. Better late than never eh? lol 

Skip the hustle butter, it’s expensive snake oil. There are no “magic” ingredients. Take care of your skin; stay out of the sun, stay hydrated, use a little cocoa butter to keep it moisturized and you’ll be fine.
Also, your tattoo isn’t even healed. They take 4-6 weeks to heal. Just relax and enjoy it, it really seems like you’re obsessing over it.

I agree about how they lighten, especially the black/grey tattoos.  

Don't forget @Baldguy95 this is your first tattoo, you're still learning how tattoos lighten, when they heal. How you will feel after they lighten. It happens it's part of the healing process. Don't stress over it, you will learn from this 🙂 If you get more tattoos, you will be less stressful over it all. 

The first step to getting tattooed can be a mixture of emotions, especially when the tattoo has such a significant meaning as yours. Just take your time to process everything, if that makes sense. 

Yeah man nothing is really permanent. Glad to see you got two amazing pieces that flow well together. Your artist is talented.

I have some hustle butter. That did seem to work a little. Still think I’m going to see can add more black in the lined areas of the wings. I’m afraid some of these lines aren’t going to age well.

the blowout should fade a bit but will still be noticeable. i have some minor blowout but nothing major. some people stated that laser removal can fix some blowout but i have never seen a legit post of after pics from someone 

It wasn’t noticeable at the time of the tattoo. It didn’t become noticeable until 9 days later. I’m mostly hoping something can be done to save the majority of the tattoo because I actually do like it, but two of the flowers up top have scarring and fading, and then there’s the blowout itself. This artist stays booked because of her usually good work, and it took me years to get on her calendar, so I’m really bummed it turned out like this. 

I agree with @oboogie, I've never seen a blow out that big. I wouldn't go back, I don't care how famous, how far out they are booked, or what quality of work they do on others. Find someone who does coverups and see what they can do. The tattoo itself probably doesn't need to be covered, but the area around it, where the blow-out is will needs some work.

Jesus. That's a massive blowout. Don't go back to that artist. Blowout happens, but that is HUGE.
Find a better artist and get more tattoos around it.

As said, you have to wait. The answer is the same regardless of how you many times ask it or how you phrase the question. 4-8 weeks to heal. Longer for a rough heal. Looking at it every five minutes won’t speed up the process.

I wouldn't do anything until you come to terms with your tattoo. It's very nice and I've seen a lot of people make things worse, not better when they rush to try to fix something. I've never had tattoo remorse so I can't relate, but you have a really solid piece that will stand the test of time. It's not like you got a monkey humping a football, or something stupid. Even if you don't grow to love it, it's not something you need to be embarrassed about. It's solid work, a solid design and you should wear it proudly.

take a breath and relax, it will pass, and start  planning your next tattoo.

That's a tattoo btw. I was thinking on turning it into half a sleeve maybe or some kind of background. But these mixed feelings make me depressed

What I ended up with on the inner thigh. Hamstring scorpion and rose in two weeks!

This is what I've got going on as of now. I could use some ideas,  I've two appointments coming up in the next few weeks and wanting to get something to finish up the inner thigh and the hamstring area. Looking for some direction on what would work well. Thanks in advance!

Well guys I finished this thing up on Saturday! Added the dove, light rays, and clouds! Came out beautiful!
 
Really considering making this into a sleeve. Trying to figure out ideas that could flow with the design. thought about an eyeball with my brother and I’s silhouettes in the reflection for my inner arm. 

I got my left knee done yesterday, and it is HUGELY swollen.  Absolutely brutal. I couldn’t sleep last night because it hurt so much. I’ll be glad when it starts healing. Even my elbows didn’t hurt as much as the knee.

I just had some more added to the dove and clock to try and tie both images up. I was happy with it but wanted to fill the gaps so I added the cloud and sun rays. I think it looks quite busy and am still getting used to it but I did want to tie both images up so I’m happy to complete it! It’s only been a week so still healing yet. 🙂 


 

Hi all. I just had these doves added on to my existing tattoo. I wasn’t sure what to have to fill in the space so I said shading and doves. I liked the negative space doves but thought these being black would stand out a bit more. Not sure how I feel about them at the moment, I know they will lighten up a bit as it was only done yesterday but I feel like the dark and light contrast is a bit too much. What do you think? I feel like it’s two separate images rather than one now. Or do the light and dark doves work together, really not sure! Lol.

Had some more work done on my TMNT piece. The unfinished turtles were the first sitting. Everything finished was 2nd. He did some touchup aswell. Next sitting will do the background elements and hopefully finish up.
