I like to give the artist a rough idea of what I want. I can't draw, so I leave that up to them. And I agree that seeing the stencil for the first time is half the fun. When Tim Lehi unfolded the huge drawing for my tigers, I went wide-eyed.
I don't believe in dragons, but they sure do make awesome tattoos. Along the same lines, I'd still like a Rock of Ages and maybe a curly-bearded Jesus at some point.

i think i've posted these before. but they're good to watch again.

Had some time to kill yesterday between meetings and clients though not enough to go home and relax so did the usual, "I'll go hangout at blackheart and say hello". In the back of my mind wanting to get tattooed though knew they were probably all busy but I got lucky, Cody Miller was free. So got my elbow, a long narrow open space on my arm done and some quick filler.
While getting tattooed realized, I never shared some photos as was asked after my previous post in this thread.....I think I have more impromptu tattoos then actual appointment tattoos. Damn I love walk-in shops so long story short once these spots on my arm heal I'll post some pictures of my right arm as that will be easiest rather than pictures of my whole body which is mostly covered in impromptu tattoos.
BTW @jade1955 do you make appointments at Frith St or just do a lot of walk-ins? Very impressed with how often you get tattooed and the quality!

I think you should have taken @ian 's advice... I'm not trying to hurt your feelings or be a dick, but when you ask "what do you guys think?" on a tattoo forum I assume you want honest opinions be it positive or negative.

Not sure where else to put this, but since most of the board's parents probably check this thread, I figure it's as good a place as any. I was talking to our 2.5 year old daughter the other night. Here's our conversation:
said, "You know, when Daddy was little, he had curly blond hair just like yours." She said, "And you had little hands."
"That's right! I did have little hands."
"And you had toes and feet, too, Daddy."
"Right, and I still have toes and feet. They're just bigger. And when you grow up, you'll have bigger toes and feet."
Then she replied, "And tattoos!"
I laughed and asked what her tattoos will be.
"Skulls! And animals."
"What kind of animals?"
"A donkey! And a turkey. And skeletons!"
It was a proud moment. But donkeys and turkeys?
