1. thats true. i actually saw someshit on one of those mnsbc shows, with some guy who dropped out of la eme, he was getting really into asian studies and shit like that and had a bunch of japanese work.. - - - Updated - - - no doubt. ive thought about a book being in order for a while. some of the shit id see in county, that guys got done in prison, or even on the streets is pretty sick here (the southwest). guys come out with some pretty impressive chicano and native work.
2. its been 4 1/2 weeks since the treatment. so ill throw up some pics tonight. if youre able to get out to dallas, id go with fade fast as well. if its between them and dr. tattoff, youll actually end up saving money (or spending just as much) with travel included. plus get way better results.
3. ^ man, i love that album so much..
4. well, if that isnt the truth.. - - - Updated - - - well, if that isnt the truth.. - - - Updated - - - damn, i didnt hear about capital steez. yeah, that dude was sick.. i love the "90s throwback" stuff. not the "lets bring it back, yall" ugly duckling-j5 type stuff, but like the stuff we were mentioning. i came up with hiphop in the 90s and activley participated (djing, college radio, etc), but just stopped paying attention to it in the last decade. so to check in and see little dudes like bada$$ doing what he does, really kind of makes me happy.. also, word to "stress". i dont know if i could pick an all time favorite. i might go the cliche route and have to say "illmatic". just because all of these years later, it never gets old, and i can really appreciate now how that was the perfect hiphop album. like, stars were alligned for all of that to go down the way that it did.
5. black moon were the original backpackers, before that term took on something more offensive.. - - - Updated - - - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V4xYGFc9Yw4 - - - Updated - - - @CABS The first 4 Wu-Tang solo albums. All day. Everyday. Have you checked out the Wu-Block record yet? It's Ghost and Sheek from The Lox. word @ that wu-block, man. ive been bad about staying up on rap records for awhile. but i love this, classic wu sound.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pyk7PRYXfXE
6. great story.. case of the phuckets..
7. the ultimate blues/bummer is knowing how long it may take for my arm to be faded enough for a trad. japanese sleeve, all meanwhile doing a bunch of research/getting pysched about elements i want to have incorporated into it. its cool in that i can get excited for having something awsome to look forward to. but too much of looking at amazing tattoos can get me impatient, especially since i wont have any $$$$ to get any other work i may have wanted until this journey is complete. guess ill really have earned this sleeve when its all said and done!
8. word. ive only had it once, just to get a buddy of mine off my back and was suprised. cant for the life of me remember the brand, but it came in a 4 pack. i want to say it was something from new mexico. - - - Updated - - - my jam.. - - - Updated - - -
9. ipa guy here. idiot ipa, inversion, odell, marble brewery, are usually my go-to's (slim pickings here, but these are excellent). anything citrusy, hoppy, and bold with a high (atleast 6 or 6.5 and up, strictly) alcohol content im down with. also a huge fan of goose island ales (chicago), and dales and happy camper for their ipa in a can appeal. and anything by rogue you cant go wrong with. theres just something about the thrill for the hunt for the perfect ipa- browsing selections, the packaging, cracking one open and catching a whiff, hitting up new towns and cities and checking out the local shit (always my favorite ipas, but i can never remember what i ordered lol). i almost feel like i live for this sort of thing. and when i was living in pdx i tried so many ipas it was insane, i can hardly remember them all. just recently tried a black ipa for the first time- amazing. id also kill for a raspberry wheat ale. currently nobody sells any brand that makes that around here, so im thinking about ordering some online but have no idea what to go for. also, this is a really fun website to fuck around with.. beer advocate.. sort of like the last sparrow of the beer world. they also have a section for malt liqour lol.. - - - Updated - - - anyone from the 90s remember these?
10. dude, if you live in tx look up fadefast in dallas. youll get the best deal there, easily..
11. what the shit! looks like somebody gave neckface a tattoo gun. my tumblr feed has been full of this trash polka stuff, and everyones liking it. i dont get it..
12. this shit right here blew my mind.. http://www.isaac.alg-a.org/Eclispses-de-cemento-Galeria-JM
13. how cool is that guys name tho.. donald blood the third..
14. you can never go wrong with 501s. you should check out self edge in sf. they carry a lot of crazy japanese brands that you cant get anywhere else. its mad expensive, but would be a cool place to just go and check out, even if your wallets hurting (ive never been but have ordered online from them).
15. awsome.. Man gets DUI after driving on AA co-founder's lawn - News - Boston.com
16. id skip over any place that uses hiphop slang, ebonics, or weed reference in the name..
17. i like those lees! its a shame, a lot of these "american heritage" lines are more difficult to come across in the us- carhartt wip, woolrich woolen mills, lee 101, etc. youre lucky, theres more access to that stuff in the uk. tellasons are dope. rogue territory, baldwin, and 3sixteen are excellent american lines as well. im not crazy patriotic or anything. its just cool to see brands being made at home and theyre like half the price as japanese lines. but from what i understand, on the flipside, the japanese will go crazy and pay a lot for american brands right now. i think we do the same tradeoff thing with them in tattooing!
18. ^^yeah, its that one. amazing thin lizzy cover as well. theres some real gems that (i think) are only on there. like "bye june". wasnt sure what the backstory was with this album, but it is from 1994.. - - - Updated - - - http://www.discogs.com/Smashing-Pumpkins-Unplugged-100-Pure-Acoustic-Performances/release/2263438 there is also another version that closes it out with "1979" and "tonight, tonight". - - - Updated - - - more corgan acoustic..
19. nice.. coffee nazis and denim people.. kyle, currently im in a pair of left fields for the last 4 months. probably my favorite pair so fair. theyre the nisshinbo denim and wear beautifully (crazy electric blues). ive been in a handful of pairs, but id probably say that these are my personal favorites (so far). i dig a lot of japanese stuff like momotaro, pbj's, sammies, etc. but have been psyched for all of the lines in the states currently. whenever get my cash flow situation right, im leaning towards a pair of railcars, im pretty sure..
