I'll admit, I'm not aware of that many UK artists even though I love the shit out of a lot of the stuff that's been coming out of Europe in general. Maybe now I can add some more names to the list.
@Joe Shit wow, nice find - his stuff is amazing.

Yeah,it's a good thing to share info about a tattooer who's work you like even though you may personally never get tattooed by that artist.I know a lot of artists in UK travel to the States to work, and maybe I will get a chance to be tattooed by a few of them.I did come across an artist in the UK who I wasn't aware of,and really like his chrysanthemums a lot.So another artist on the list.

Hi guys, nothing wrong with asking who peoples' favorite artists are. perfectly legit question, and a fine use of LST if you ask me. People are here to learn about good tattoo artists so if someone learns about a good artist through this type of poll, then it's a win.

    Hi,
posting at you from northern europe, Finland, to say i really like the site! I've found out about a lot of great artists and got good advice from here in my time lurking. I've been meaning to register for over a year since i found the site but i've put it off for not having any good recent photos of my tattoos, and i thought if i just register maybe i'll finally put the effort into taking some. I got my first tattoo 6 years ago at 18 and ever since i've been steadily adding to it a few pieces a year more or less. I decided very early on im going for full coverage but im saving the hand and neck tattoos for when im 30 if i still feel like it.
Anyway, i managed to dig up some pictures, most are from artists instagrams i think.
    In no particular order:

by Hexa, used to own Precious Tattoo, not sure where he works from now.

    Hexa

    Hexa

    Hexa

Oni by Javier Betancourt at Ocho Placas
I think i heard of him from here, theres so many crappy shops in Miami it was a chore to find something worthwhile but man am i glad i found him.

Crow by Gustav Fröberg, also did my lower left arm which i dont have any pics of
upper left arm is JPWikman no better pictures yet sorry
Demon granny is by Hexa again
In the last picture you can see a peek of the rooster on my ribs started by Jonas Nyberg and im gonna get that one finished up at the Helsinki Ink Convention next weekend!
I'll try to get better pictures of all of it or at least the ones i dont have any of and post after i get back from the convention. Hopefully with a rad cock! :D

Thanks to me not being diligent about booking new sessions, I now have a mishmash of up and coming sessions.
This pic is the result of my last session on Saturday which was at the Sydney Tattoo Convention. Only a small 2 hour session but was cool chatting to different people wandering past asking about my work etc.
Was also my 1st attendance at a tattoo convention/show. I got to see alot of people getting tattooed by many artists and the main thing that surprised me was how few engaged with the artist and chatted.
So many had headphones on or were playing with iPads with no interaction with the artist. For me that is a big reason why I "enjoy" getting tattooed and keep going back for more.
To me a big part of getting a great tattoo is connecting with your artist, chatting with him/her, chewing the fat, disagreeing with him/her and at times arguing with your artist. (Something I have done once or twice.)
Not sure what all you LST's do but my job is very technical and most would class as boring. Is another reason why I enjoy my tattoo sessions, I get to connect and chat to artistic and creative people. Much more interesting than the crap I deal with at work. :)
Anyway enough of my rant, here is the latest pic.
    Cheers
    Jason

I always look forward to the start of the month because it means another 3 hours of work on my back, and another step closer to completion. This session I just could not zone out at all. The whole thing just hurt. On the other hand we have now basically finished the background and I'm stoked with how it's looking.

    Hello Everyone,
Been poking around these forums for a while and figured I'd register and talk about my experiences. I'll give a little back story and show you what I've had done.
I always wanted to get a tattoo but kept putting it off because I was nervous about the pain and how my body would react to it all. In September of 2014 my friend Jason suggested going to a convention in San Francisco and I thought that would be a great time for it. Before the trip Jason and I ended up going to a shop and I got something small.

I was pretty relaxed walking into the shop but once the machine turned on I got nervous again. I had this one placed on the upper portion of my calf. I thought it was a nice concealable spot and it was meaty so it wouldn't be that bad. I felt the area twitching for most of time but it came out fine.
So October rolled around pretty quick and we flew out to San Francisco for the convention. At the time I didn't know what style I wanted but I did know that I wanted to get an owl. So my friends and I were walking around looking at all the different booths and Jason suggested Katja Ramirez from Rock of Ages. So thats what I did!

From this point I decided I wanted to go for my entire right arm. A few weeks after the convention when I got home I added a little more.

Done by Andrew Stortz (he did my first tattoo) @ Hobo's/Congress St. Portsmouth, NH
Here's more progress on the arm:

Done by Andrew Stortz @ Hobo's/Congress St. Portsmouth, NH

Done by Jebb Riley @ Hobo's/Congress St. Portsmouth, NH
Kind of an interesting scenario with the next two... Hobo's and Congress St. are a 5 minute walk from each other and my friend and I both had the same time appointment but at different shops. Chad Koeplinger was guesting and Jason got on the list really early on. So as I'm getting the my work done Jason shows up and says Chad wasn't ready yet and he'd get a call when to come back. So he waited while I got the one below done.

Done by Andrew Stortz @ Hobo's/Congress St. Portsmouth, NH
Jason was getting a mandala and to kill some time I got this...

Done by Spencer Scott @ Hobo's/Congress St. Portsmouth, NH
Last week I had this done, forgot to get a picture when it was fresh. I didn't explicitly ask for it done upside down, it was a weird space and I thought I'd work. I ran it by the artist and he said it'd be fine.

Done by Spencer Scott @ Hobo's/Congress St. Portsmouth, NH
My future plans are to complete my left arm with either color traditional or Japanese, still in the decision making phase.
    Thanks for reading,
    -Rich

Thanks everyone! My current work is all from Mike Pain (gave me my first, second and third, great guy), Shanghai Kate Hellenbrand, and Chelsea Kotzur.
My future collection desires and wants so far are a ribcage wolf's head with arrows from Tony Hundahl, a full back work from Kelly Edwards. I also love love love Katja Ramirez and Steve Byrne's work.
I REALLY would like to someday travel to Modern Classic and get a girl head from Valerie Vargas.
But alas, despite what Fox news tells ya, they don't pay us much, so each work is a long time coming

I mostly listen to comedy related podcasts with a side of nerdy information, here's what I listen to when I draw and/or lay in bed restlessly (yay insomnia!)
    The Nerdist:
3 nerdy comedians (Chris Hardwick, Jonah Ray and Matt Mira) discuss comedy, pop culture, and all things nerdy. The first 60ish episodes all have special guests, comedians, actors, musicians, etc. after that they started doing an extra episode each week with just the hosts, so they still have guests all the time, but also talk amongst themselves. Very funny, and it can give you a different look at "show business"
    The Cracked Podcast:
List based comedy website, Cracked, in podcast form! These guys are hilarious and very well researched for each weeks subject, they also nerd out about comedy, but they also have discussions on just a whole bunch of cool topics that I enjoy hearing new perspectives on. Scroll through the episode list and see if any topics pique your interest, I'm sure after a couple you'll want to go through and hear them all.
    Unpopular Opinion:
Adam Tod Brown, another Cracked writer has his own podcast, he's a huge dick and all the comments on his articles are pretty much hating on him. I think he's the perfect kind of sarcastic asshole so I like listening once in a while.
    SMODCAST:
Kevin Smith and Scott Mosher chatting it up about making movies together, life, and comics.
    The Thrilling Adventure Hour!
This is a comedy show in LA in the form of an old timey radio show, it's recorded live, they have different comedians and actors on most episodes, and they act out a number of different scenes. Funny stuff.
    Welcome to Night Vale:
This show is fantastic. A radio show played in the form of community updates in a fictional desert town called Night Vale. The dark, twisted, weird, Lovecraftian goings on in this mysterious place will keep you on the edge of your seat. If you ignore all my other suggestions, just listen to this, it's awesome. All hail the glow cloud!
