I'd urge you to go to Art Work Rebels in Portland and talk to Jason about your ideas. Be open to what he suggests, as this is what tattooers do for a living. They know what lasts through young adult hood and into your older years as far as tastes go, but also what works as a tattoo and what doesn't, in regards to the actual visual piece.
Also, I'd agree with @Iwar and @BrianH about the jaguar thing.

Pretty well shot videos. Danny Woodruff's got a great collection. Kind of wish that it was possible to credit all the tattooers, but still cool.

Shige? Horiyoshi?
Realized I never responded to this post. I just watched the Japan Gypsy Gentleman a few nights ago, and Shige's work was blowing my mind.

Not so much a book, but I just found Richard Prince's work through a Tumblr post of one of his photographs. Reading a few of them before I fall asleep. Pretty surreal.

Experimental folk music. Heard these guys a few years ago, and just tonight saw a video of theirs under my suggestions section on YouTube. -
Accidentally forgot to log out of the library computer the other day, and I got this email today (sent from my email address):
Myles -I logged onto the HMB library library and all your stuff was there....
This has happened to ME, so I wanted you to know to always double, and triple log off.
A concerned Library Lady.

I had a friend over last night, and he told me that I can't get tattooed to the point where no one recognizes me anymore. This came from my saying that I would probably get my head tattooed at some point. Something about having a big old tiger on the back of my head seams really cool.

Welcome to LST. Your first tattoo is much better than a lot of first tattoos. Congrats!

Have to agree with @Orangutango . I've always owned dogs, but these are amazing. Congrats to everyone who has gotten one or a few so far.

Why, yes! Driving up the day before, staying 2 nights and I plan to drive back the next day. Didn't think I was going to be the one driving, but now it turns out I probably am and so I'm just starting to get nervous about it based on stuff I have read here about lower leg pain & healing issues!
I've had mixed experiences with lower leg tattoos. Depending on the tattooer, I think they can swell up a lot or not at all. Not sure what Horitomo's tattoos heal like. Good luck! Post pics!

Healing my knee ditch right now, and it is hell. I have to be on my feet all day at work, so I have been limping around and generally pained.
Hello from a tattoo-nervous person!!
