Clementine 2 Posted September 10, 2016 I want to get a really small tattoo of something like this. Like 1.5". But I cant think of a discreet placement for it. Maybe the base of my neck or between my shoulder blades. But I'm not sold on that yet.
a_beukeveld 340 Posted September 10, 2016 Dont get anything on your neck head or hands. Just above the ankle, just above the elbow ditch, just above the elbow on the back, just above the knee and on the wrist are good places for smaller tattoos. Keep in mind places that will disrupt future bigger tattoos, even if you dont want anything big yet. I would not recommend the back for that reason. Clementine 2 Posted September 11, 2016 I see the wisdom in not doing the back in case it gets in the way of larger tattoos. Although at the moment I only want a handful of small tattoos, I might change my mind in the future. Although I really like the look of tattoos along the spine, I also like the idea of just above the elbow on the back, so I might use that.
lape 194 Posted September 11, 2016 Upper thigh. If your a man or woman, no one will ever see that spot unless you really get into the effort of showing it off. I also don't think it will translate into a nice tattoo. Change your mind and get a panther with a dagger. sister123 and a_beukeveld
DJDeepFried 511 Posted September 11, 2016 I like the idea but not sure a tattoo of that image would read as a book. Maybe if it were at a slight angle. A good tattooer could advise on this and draw up a nice design. Smaller tattoos look best in smaller areas of the body. Wrist, ankle, back of neck, etc. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Clementine 2 Posted September 11, 2016 (edited) Yeah, I still havent found the right image. Maybe something like this? Just the one book. Edited September 11, 2016 by Clementine
DJDeepFried 511 Posted September 11, 2016 The good thing is you don't need to. Find the right artist and tell them what you want. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
otisc 309 Posted September 13, 2016 Original image can be done if done correctly. Found this: sister123

Clementine 2 Posted September 13, 2016 (edited) I do love the elbow idea. And I found this image which I think would look awesome going up the back of my upper arm, scaled down. Edited September 13, 2016 by Clementine
sister123 21 Posted September 13, 2016 I like the idea of doing it on the heel...although I think that would hurt a lot. idk i like small tattoos in smaller areas. i'm not sure if that picture will translate to a good, small tattoo...but you could probably get a variant of it. keep in mind, it may need to be bigger than you originally hoped in order to include detail.
