Coming through airport security yesterday one of the security guards had a long (favourable) chat about my tattoos.
He said he had a couple but was too afraid of the pain to get more.
Then he explained that he got the tattoos after he got paralysed in a car accident and then beat the doctor's diagnosis that he probably would never walk again (!!!).
I was like "dude, I think you could handle it" (He laughed).

I've noticed that since both calves are mostly covered, drivers don't hassle me as much when on the bike.

Actually I never realized about someone staring (in the bad way) my tattoos. I think it's more about don't thinking about it and then you will not realize about people staring the bad way to your tattoos. Just change your mind and stop worrying!
I never worried about people staring or judging my tattoos, and that's why I think I never watched nobody doing so!
I just realized about compliments and admiring glances!
I have a funny and cute tattoo on my leg (a pile of kawaii cats. I'm super happy when I make children smile :D
So, just listen to the compliments and forget about the bad words!

It's not hate, it's love. Love for good tattoos. I didn't know the difference when I first started my tattoo journey either. It pays to stick around here and really see the good stuff and the differences... If the guy has a good personality, that's great--maybe he'd be good in sales. For tattoos, there are people with good personalities who are also really good artists with technical skills.

Went to CatConLA last weekend with my daughter!!! We had so much fun. Saw Horitomo, Molly, and Taki from State of Grace. We bought a ton of cat related stuff, two of my favorites being prints featuring David Bowie and Robert Smith w/cats! We bought @DJDeepFried a monmon cat baseball cap. I'm still wanting another monmon cat tattoo... someday...
 

My mother taught me: if you don't have something nice to say don't say it at all. On the other hand if you post your tattoo on a public forum it's fair game. For me it's a toss up between tough love and it's not my problem.

I'm glad I love this little puppy. Because she's a nightmare to potty train, and she is growing at an insane rate.

Vic Ruggiero (from the Slackers NYC) played a solo show last nite in a living room in east Edmonton. It was super dope, we love Vic here. That's me on the left playing the red wurlitzer, the show turned into an amazing ska/rocksteady jam sesh with some cool cats (and close friends) from the Canadian ska scene.
Pretty awesome to get to play alongside one of your musical icons. Pretty jazzed. Life is full circle.
 

We buy pre sale Riot Fext tix around Thanksgiving and they just announced today that the original Misfits lineup will be reuniting after 33 years to play this year. The rest of the lineup should be out soon but that was a nice icebreaker of a release. 
Gonna see how long the line is for the Elm Street Tattoo Friday the 13th thing tonight. and then I have an appointment with Marina Inoue at the Elm Street Tattoo Festival next week. 
All in all, a good day.
 

I lost my black lab to a stroke a couple of months ago. I finally felt up to adopting a new rescue. Meet Brontë. She's a St. Bernard/possible Blue Tuck Coon Hound mix. She's going to be a big girl!

Got this awesome piece this week on the spur of the moment/walk-in from Tommy Stegall at Baldy's Tattoo in Radcliff, KY (near Fort Knox). It's my first American Traditional tattoo and I am in love :)
