Hi Guys, sorry for not responding to this thread sooner.
This issue was caused by a server caching setting I had enabled to speed up the site. I turned it off as soon as I noticed what you describe above.
Let me know if you still see it happening?

Healed many many tattoos now over the last few years with tegaderm.
The only time I've had the red irritation issue on the edge of the tegaderm was when it was applied too stretched in the first place, or at a weird angle on a spot that moves a lot.
(This is yet another unfinished piece, more coming shortly to finish in a last session for background, etc.)

@a_beukeveld  I'm sure it will all be fine. The tattoos look great in the pics.
This is just my experience but I do not change the tegaderm out once I put it on. Some people do, but I haven't. I get bandaged as per the usual method after getting tattooed and leave that on overnight (no matter at what point of the day I get tattooed. I always leave bandage on overnight). Then shower that next morning and remove bandage and clean the tattoo. Then, since I have no confidence in my skills, I walk back to tattoo shop and have the tattooer give one last wipe down with green soap and have them put the tegaderm on. Then I leave it for 5 24 hr days.  If fluid builds up I leave it. Once it actually leaked out but then sealed right back up. I have not tried changing out the tegaderm to a new piece. Sucks enough removing it once.
The derm always has stuck to my tattoo by day 5. It just won't stick to a fresh seeping one. I just pull it slowly with gentle soap and tons of water. And I try to remove in the direction of the hair, not opposite.

My little birthday present from me ;). "Borrowed" the pic from the artist's Facebook since I 'dermed it as soon as I got home and didn't think to photograph it first. Hand poked (by a licenced tattoo artist at a professional studio). I found the technique super relaxing & interesting, and this will probably not be my last although I'm craving some colour next.

I have the same, but for me it shows im logged in as @Graeme whenever I open LST in Chrome. As soon as I click on any thread, it fixes itself and logs me in. Pretty weird haha

@pidjones congratulations to both of you!
I've been with my husband for nearly 18 years, and one of the very first things we did together was to get a couple of tiny tattoos (tight student budget but that's probably a good thing, who knows what crappy tattoos I'd have now otherwise), followed by the dreaded name tattoos a couple of years later. We'd both always wanted more but somehow they never seemed to materialize until I got another one on holiday a couple of years back, and three more over the past year. My problem is too many ideas, his is too few :D but he's finally settled on getting his first large-ish one next month and I'm really looking forward to it as well. I hope that by now he has realized that I'm probably not going to stop getting tattoos unless I run out of space or money...

@a_beukeveld That looks pretty much like my two 'dermed tattoos were on day 3. Mine dried up within the following day or two. Once it starts to dry up it does it pretty quickly, and it'll seem like the 'derm gets hard and you will probably see some fun looking cracks appearing underneath the 'derm. Mine also started to itch during this process. I personally found it better to remove the 'derm shortly after the fluid dried up - with the first one I waited until day 5 if I recall correctly (a couple of days after it had started drying in any case), and it wasn't fun taking it off, and the tattoo was extremely dry to the point that I probably should have filled the tub with lotion and kept it submerged for a day or two... The second one I removed as soon as the 'derm hardened, and continued with lotion from that point on. If you're going for a "full" derm heal you'll want to be sure to remove the 'derm only when the tattoo is done peeling - and no, I have no idea how to know when that is :).

I like the first one, I like the simplicity of it. Not everyone wants a big tattoo, the main thing is you find something you like.

Same as a few other people mention, I'm showing as username "Kill Uncle" on the front page, but myself everywhere else. This is with Chrome on a Mac. Didn't notice any issues on my iPad.

Totally love the Cash piece, @oboogie! I'm team tegaderm/saniderm as well. One week later, mild flaking and no itching for this girl. One of my pieces didn't even flake/peel/nothing. Score!

Look into it! My skin is difficult to heal, and it works a treat on me. My Amy Winehouse healed perfectly with it. My artist Josh is thrilled to have found something that works on me. Until recently, he couldn't use blue ink of any kind because my skin freaked the fuck out and even became infected once.

I must admit, I did not watch season 1 and as someone who was into the comic, I am ashamed.  Glad it was made into a show though.
I will for sure be into this once I start getting it on demand.

To update today I contacted tattoo parlor with pics they say it's bad razor burn. And in all fairness the redness has eased up today. And the swelling has decreased. Thanks for replies guys.  I was worried about cellulitis but apart from redness there was no other symptoms which would include heat, itchiness, pus, spreading redness etc. Swelling is quite normal apparently.  Think I just have very sensitive skin lol.
