You admit you are new to tattoos. You come to the forum filled with people experienced with tattoos. You ask for advice. You get advice. You don't like the advice. Now you want the advice to disappear.
This means one of two things:
    1) You were never looking for advice in the first place, you just wanted to show off your art and have people tell you how great it was.
    2) Cognitive dissonance.

Picked up the new Chris Garver coloring book (for my reference library) at the book store. Titled: FLASH coloring in the Tattoo style.

"Cool tattoo art to color from an in-demand tattoo celebrity! Flash, a follow-up to the wildly successful Color Odyssey, presents even more of Chris Garver’s gorgeous designs. As a sought-after figure in the tattoo world, Chris is a perfect choice to bring together tattoo art and adult coloring—and this book perfectly showcases his distinct and detailed style. With images printed on single-sided pages, this book will attract both traditional coloring fans and tattoo devotees looking for ideas for their next inking."
    FYI About the Author
Chris Garver is a professional tattoo artist at the world-renowned Invisible NYC on New York City’s Lower East Side. He is also a former star of TLC’s popular reality show Miami Ink. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, Chris began experimenting with tattooing at the age of 17 before attending Manhattan’s School of Visual Arts. He has been a full-time professional tattoo artist since moving to New York in his early 20s
I think this a great introduction to the art, for the plain skins.
Though I take issue with the term "Tattoo Style" I can understand why he put that on the cover. It is a coloring book, with Tattoo related and familiar imagery contained within, so I get it.
When flipping through the book, I found myself thinking, dagn, I would wear that...and that!
Congratulations to Chris Garver on his second book. 100 pages with perforated pages so you can tear a page out and color it.  I recommend picking up a copy.
So LSTF Did you get one and what do you think about it?

a_beukeveld got a reaction from Rob I in Tegaderm/Saniderm/Tatuderm healing process
Got 4 tattoos recently. Posting here for info for other people healing with derm and for myself in the future.
Once the tattoos were completed, instead of using Saniderm over night like I normally do, I just used the meat bandages the tattoos gave me. I realized having to take off saniderm after 24 hours and then putting on the final sheet for 5 days really irritated the tattoo.
The next morning I took off the meat bandages, washed them real good with unscented soap, let them air dry for 5 or 10 minutes and applied the saniderm.
To test out how long is best, I left 2 on for 5 days, and the other 2 on for 6 days, counting the day I first put the saniderm on. I always had a problem where the derm would rip off flakes prematurely and either bleed or make them scab, but this didnt happen much at all. The only one that had some rough spots was the giesha on my forearm, which I left on for 5 days. Not sure why. Might have to do with the fact it weeped allot and hardened up. Every part that was having trouble with after the initial derm removal I just put a tiny patch of derm on to keep it from scabbing and they healed up just fine. The Fudo cat on my knee healed PERFECTLY, which I left on for 6 days. Zero bleeding or scabbing. It also had zero fluid buildup, which might have helped.
From now on Im going to do the meat bandage over night, saniderm for six days after that, and small patches on parts that didnt heal well.

Just started collecting and reading the new Lone Wolf and Cub series by Kazuo Koike and Hideki Mori.

Collected and read the first series (Lone Wolf and Cub) and it was awesome, the first series was awarded lots of honors for historical accuracy in depicting life in Edo period japan. Original had lots of tattoos.

    Very worth a read

Tattoos for people who don't like tattoos. But seriously if you just want to dip your toe in the water get something small in a small area: wrist, ankle, etc. No hands or neck, please.

In my very short time here and now with two whole tattoos, I remember seeing two comments most frequently. "Get a panther." And "Go large or go home."

exactly. these are for "tatt-tourists" - people that want a cool tattoo like their fave celebrity but want to get tattoo with as minimal commitment as possible.

i feel like the micro-tattoos from the 'gram link posted are one size too small. The scale of the tattoo and proportion to the body location is off. They'd have a much better impact and longevity as a tattoo and better placement if they were upsized by ~10%.  They look more like a sticker or temporary tattoo IMO...
...and then I realize the 'gram link posted is for the tattoo "artist" JonBoy who gives all the unskilled affluent celebrities all their superboring tattoos that the mainstream is so easily dazzled by.  i feel like LST should be encouraging people to get tattooed like fucking David Lee Roth and not some Kendell Jenner bullshit sticker "tattoo".  i mean people can get tattooed with whatever, but c'mon...
i've got some micro tattoos and they are super-fun...my grumpy bumble bee is my smallest and favourite tattoo. but I'm cramming them into the gaps between worn full scale tattoos which makes them interesting to me as the owner and more fascinating/funny to onlookers when I point them out in my hypercolour mess. cheers

I'm really not sure why you continue to post asking for advice since you obviously don't ever follow it and do what you want to do anyway. Many experienced people have offered you good advice, you state your intention to follow it and within days post again with something that shows you just ignored the advice. At this point, it almost seems like a game. Why waste people's time?
I hope you have a great vacation and wish you luck with your tattoo journey. But, I'm done responding to your posts.

Why would you want to be served by/ work for someone who hates you? Forcing them to serve you makes zero sense, and I dont see how anyone could feel good about that. If they dont want you around, then dont go. Let them think what they want. Forcing people to comform to other's agendas doesnt work, and creates even more devision and hostility. Who cares.

Also naturally me and this girl have been seeing each other.

A man who is his own lawyer has a fool for a client. If you want a tattoo, go to a TATTOO artist to have an original piece created. I don't call a doctor when my toilet is backed up and I don't go to a plumber to have a will drawn up. You may be an artist, but you aren't a TATTOO artist.

From 19:th of september, by TomasTomas at Into You. That was a beautiful and special day. Maybe 2 hours of tattooing and in total 8 hours with all the talking, planning design, preparing, listening to music, watching videos, sharing stories and experience. Tomas is fantastic.
