scottyg reacted to Queen Rocks in New here and starting major project!
Welcome! Your sleeve looks sick!
For your back piece, maybe wear a halter top or tank top so you can easily pull down the side that's being worked on? Only an idea. I have no experience because A) I don't have a large back piece (yet) and B) I'm a dude.

scottyg got a reaction from Hogrider in Is your tattoo infected and aftercare FAQ
looks to me like over-application of moisterizer. could be creating a zit. can't see it scaring; probably not. you'd be amazed at the body's ability to heal itself. I had big scabs on a piece of mine during healing--much worse than this; two years later the spots look perfect!

true, yeah it looks weird but has not changed in a few days. Maybe i'll lay off the moistorizing for a little bit?

Yes I'm from the US. Thank you for letting me know, I will report this to the local health department tomorrow morning, have already been in contact with the shop letting them know what the problem is. I've cleaned everything as thorough as possible back at my house. Trying to stay strong and have a positive mindset.

Holy Christ, that's nothing to mess with. Don't know where you're at, but that's the kind of thing that a local health department wants to know about. Whether you got it at the shop or had it before and took it to the shop they should know, have testing done and cleaned to hell and back.

hi , and welcome,
but are you sure you want the world to see your personal email ?

If I had to try and categorize those I'd say they are both versions of no outline neo-realism. Having said that, the description would probably only mean something to someone who actually does that style.
If you are new to tattoos I might suggest spending some time searching for old threads here that cover the topic of no outline tattoos. There is a lot of "for" and "against" on the matter, but it would be good for you to be educated about the possibilities.

scottyg got a reaction from oboogie in Hello guys, I’m new here! I did this tattoo 3 days ago but the lines seem to be really blown out, I’m a bit worried, as I’m afraid it will get worst. Is there a fix for this type of blowout?
There're right and wrong ways to do this.
The right way is to slog it out as a shop assistant, eat shit, pay your dues, then MAYBE earn the right to be an apprentice.
Then eat more shit, pay more dues, then MAYBE earn the right to tattoo.
Do it the right way.

Holy potatoes Batman. That’s bloody terrible! I’d highly suggest you let the artist know also... who knows if it was picked up there or during the mending process. Either way, it’s good to inform them. I’m so sorry to that you’ve had such a rough time. I hope you heal up ASAP and you’re able to enjoy your tattoo, finally.

Jesus Christ. No. You're a scratcher. Stop doing this shit to yourself.

Went to the er and they put me under observation for a night and some, ending up being ca-mrsa :(. Pumped antibiotics thru an iv and gave me oral antibiotics to take when discharged. Hoping this medication kills it! Thanks for checking up! <3

YIKES. This is why it is best to go to the doctor if you have any question about such things. Glad you are on the mend.

You "did" this tattoo three days ago? Who did it? You or an actual artist? Either way, a blowout is a blowout. Nothing you can do to "fix" it.
