MichealShane....  thanks - we've released a load of stuff over the last few years - there's an Album called The Golden Section on iTunes/amazon etc...  but you can listen to a bunch of free stuff on Jo's soundcloud page (Jo is the singer) - theres some of her solo stuff on there but if you scroll down there's some Kodiak Island tunes also....

I absolutely love the atmosphere in the shop I go to - they are a fine and marvellous bunch of people and it really does make a difference.  The experience is always filled with laughter, positivity and a sprint of adventure - It's fantastic to see how genuinely enthusiastic they all are about their art and they have created a place that is truly inspiring.  I have a fair amount of work done now and I would not be interested in adding to it in a place that was not in some way magical and inspirational - but that's just me. 🙂

I got started on a new dragon tattoo myself.
This is eventually going to be an entire sleeve. So far I’ve had one two hour session. He drew it on during the first hour and tattooed the second hour. Next session is in a few days.

A healed photo showing where I am currently, I'm back in the chair in about two weeks and I can't wait! Looking forward to those last traces of the old pieces disappearing. 
 

having a nice *short* tattoo session next Saturday...  a marvellous eye thing above the tree person....
anything over 4 hours for me is too long - as I have discovered to my detriment.....
it sort of goes...
first 20 mins... ouch
20 mins to 2 hours ... oh that's nice I have endorphins.
2 - 3 hours... that's sightly less nice....
3 - 4 hours...  please can I go home now.
I have picked a poor hobby for someone with a low pain threshold 🙂

Here's how it's all hanging together at this point - at least from one angle...   leg has been started and booked in for a bit more in two weeks - it will all join up eventually 🙂

Who knows! It hurt a lot though, so I'm not sure if I want to do it again. This piece took me about 6 hours of tattooing plus one hour consult/aftercare.

This. I think from both sides it's a recipe for misery. The artist most likely is going to lose focus (who doesn't after a long day). I have sat for 6-7 hours a few times and I always say I won't do it again. Between breaks (even short ones) the time really adds up. Then, you are a giant open wound just asking for an infection. It really takes a toll on your body.
PRICE shouldn't have anything to do with your decision. Save your money and get the tattoo(s) you really want.
