Finally got in to get my first "since LST" tattoo, by Ryan Gagne at Classic Tattoo in Red Deer, Alberta Canada, awesome artist, awesome shop.

most definitely! i got tattooed by timmy a month or two ago so i figured it was time to get something from J. he did this cool spider & web on my girlfriends elbow as well last night.

I usually take a good 14 days for a full peel, but then I usually have a very light secondary peel a few weeks later. I've read that it takes roughly 45 days for a tattoo to fully heal.

also, I had a few spots in my most recent tattoo that took much longer to heal than others. In the end, all turned out just fine.
i think your tattoo looks great. That black lettering healed perfectly. I think you just need a little patience with the red, but i'm sure it'll turn out fine for you.

2 this weekend- Went to Richmond Saturday and had a great time meeting folks and hanging out with good friends, and finally got to meet @CultExciter who is indeed a true gent with an amazing sleeve and now a good start on another!
First up is side-o-neck by Matt Bivetto, my go to guy and one of the finest and most humble people (and artist) you could meet.

So after getting back to Roanoke at about 2AM I headed up to Keepsake in Arlington the next day to see Tomas Garcia, another one of my favorite people and a visionary artist- I was going to do the other side of my neck but it was too swollen soooo Tomas crafted me an amazing portrait on my calf:

I am clearly into super tough guy imagery :-D

i got this on my forearm from Mike Wilson at the SOG convention. he was stoked on this being the first time doing a snake with a black belly. (fyi, this is an unhealed pic, one day after i got it)

Went to congress st. tattoo this past sat to get tattooed by the gentle ginger (Jason Scott). Was a great time with great people who love tattooing for all the right reasons. I got the higgs inspired tattoo (jug fulla sun eyes in it!) and my wife got a great strange UFO/lobster/rose thingy.
Got to hear great stories from Jason and see some amazing higgs,whitehead,bink,and bswelt tattoos amoung other things. I love these kind of tattoo trips!

I was with a friend who has a ton of old work on him and this random lady says to him, "you look disgusting". He replies, "you obviously have no mirrors in your house". The husband walks over and starts to say something, wisely takes his hag by the arm and walks off.

Asked for a girl head, then today asked for freckles...

I got this from Deno at this summers Inkbash in Stockholm. He came up with putting the gorilla in a tower and the roots there. Midway through I asked him if he wasn't going to put something coming out of the skull. "Like what?" .. I don't know, something.. And he just put that dot trail in there, no pencil or anything. I think the whole piece came out just nice and strong, might be one of my favorite tattoos so far. He was super quick and fun to chat with. Tried to ask him about how graffiti has helped him develop as a tattooer but he didn't have much to say about it, except being taught to work fast. Jelle SOOS came by to say hi too, so I got to exchange a few words with him also. Man travels, a lot!
Tomorrow I'm going to be under the needle of Joel Madberg SOOS. Putting a bird with alligator head on and around my knee, same leg as the tattoo above. A little scared of the knee actually, will I shake like crazy?
(edit: oh by the way, the picture above is from today so the tattoo is close to 6 weeks healed or so)
