Well it's good to see another thread that could have had potential get side tracked..... But to stay on topic of the super cool fabulous new tattoo tread that everyone is going to have soon do I have to remind people of a particular slayer back piece, and the nightmares that came with upon seeing it.

So this was a news item in the New Times of Broward Palm Beach. Two weeks ago, our local weekly's cover story was on internet memes (and not the good ones, the shitty university made ones). I know it's been said before, many times, but this is Mike Judge's "Idiocracy" materializing in our lifetime. Way to go, humanity.

I had a trauma doc at my hospital buy my partner and I coffee for doing some kick-ass patient care today. The dude still died, but felt good to hear a doc tell me I did a good job rather than yelling at me for not doing "enough". This was even after he threw up nasty coffee-ground vomit all over the team.

We are on a 2-week vacation to see family and friends on the east coast. A highlight was staying a night at our friend's organic dairy farm in northern VT where I had stored 3 boxes of photos before moving to Los Angeles in '98.
Our 4 year old got to see her first clear, dark nighttime sky full of stars, made her first s'more at a campfire, and saw her first herd of cattle up close, in-person. While my friend's sister was singing and playing guitar by the fire, Stella (my daughter) said, "This is the best song ever. This song is making me want another s'more."
Haha. Good times.
PS-another awesome thing I just did was to buy an LST t-shirt!

Since becoming single unexpectedly, I've had a major fire under my butt to get in shape- physically and mentally.
Since May 9th I've lost 45lbs. I ride my bike 20 miles a day for fun. I've radically altered my eating habits. I go to the gym every day.
Instead of staying on my couch eating a bag of m&ms, I'm ziplining in the Pocono Mountains. Things like that.
Instead of bitching that my life changed without my consent, I'm going to therapy to work on my noodle; make myself an even better person.

I finally got enrolled in college again after about a 10 year "break".

Prior to getting tattooed in NYC, I totally did the tourist thing of going to the Statue of Liberty. That was a lot of fun.
But, Thursday night a bunch of pals and I got together and made guitar pedals using perfboard and following schematics. That was awesome, mostly b/c I cannot solder for shit.

@David Flores Ate at Sol Food for the first time on Wednesday on the way back to the Bay Area from Healdsburg. It was great. Get the shrimp combo plate and the coconut pudding.

They did! That's my friend's parents cleaners and they had 1st dibs when the lease came up. But the new Sol Food has a secret back patio area. shhhh

If you stay in Marin, you're close to Lagunitas brewery and lots of fun activities to do w/the little one like Muir Woods, Stinson Beach, driving up the 1 to Hog Island to get oysters. Ok fine, maybe these are things that I like to do...
