May add some more colours but I'm so incredibly happy with it :)

I was just reading this thread and realized that I don't think I've ever put a picture of my little snake on here. It is very different from the rest of what's on this thread, but I love how it sits on my arm. Ron Wells did it a year ago. Both tattoos I have from him feature a lot of solid black and are sort of stealth tribal. Sorry about the bathroom photo.

hi and welcome, like was said, skin tone has nothing at all to do with blowouts, blowouts can happen fro many reasons, but not color or tone of skin,
blowouts can happen from the artist pushing too hard,
it can happen to even the very best artists,
it can happen on certain types of thin skin(like base of front /side of  necks,or soft thin skin anywhere on the body)
it can happen to old guys like me because of age,
it can happen from the artist stretching the skin too much during the tattoo,
but going back to very "pasty" or white-ish skin, that's actually the best skin tone for tattoos.especially color tattoos.
that's also why 50spf is our best friend
and the very best advice we can give you is to carefully choose the right artist.

I like all of the seasons, just hate snow and ice. I guess summer is my favorite since I get the most motorcycle riding in, but Spring and Fall riding are usually more enjoyable. The only summer that I hated was the one I spent in upstate New York. Nothing was air conditioned and we couldn't even find a fan to buy (all sold out) back in '73.

Ugh. Have you talked with a labor attorney? You are in a protected class and a decent attorney should get you some amount of severance. The going amount is 1 week for every year of employment - sometimes more. And, you can COBRA your healthcare.

@Dan  Sorry to hear that, Dan! Have any plans for now? Hopefully, they are giving you a good severance package.

pain wise my hand tattoo IMO was not too bad actually,
my hand swelled up after the tattoo, but as far as pain goes,I have definitely had places on my body that were way worse on the pain scale.

Just back from four weeks fabulous holiday with the family, first Chicago and then Canada. We enjoyed everything we did, but highlight was probably taking the little one (he's four now) canoe camping for three days in Algoquin park, Ontario. We were even lucky enough to see a moose feeding on water lilies! We watched her for about half an hour and were the only people on that lake during that time. Worth all the mosquito bites (even without seeing the moose), that's for sure.

horizontal placement of a dagger would not really fit with the body on the rib cage, it will look like a bent blade in my opinion. vertical dagger would be better placement on a rib cage... but at 7cm (half the size of your pinky) horizontal/vertical won't matter, it will look extra small like a sticker on the ribs. take the plunge and go waaay bigger, at least 3x bigger.

Haha..... Yes but my flight is not direct , changing planes in Dubai too zzzzzzzzzz
welll I used to live in the UK and booked in with Chris who had a 2 year waiting list at the time, was only a short 40 mins flight to see him, I then moved to SA and thought after waiting so long I might as well follow it through......zero even half decent artists out here unfortunately,  But it's also a good excuse to go catch up with friends again so will nip over to the uk first and everyone's happy.... Apart from my bank account, still only going to be a week in total.
i wish my artist was based in Hawaii though instead, would be much better than rainy Ireland  :)

so if you are staying the night before you fly, then just wash it several times (like you said you do) and use something on it(I use Palmers cocoa butter)and keep saran(cling) wrap taped on for the after and that night, will you have time to go back in the morning to the shop and have someone there help with the derm ?

that's how I do it anyway, for the first 10 to 12 hours after the tattoo I wash it good several times with a anti-microbial soap and apply a very light coat of cocoa butter and cling wrap, let all the liquid ooze out then I put on the derm,I do this often as I go to Hawaii every year and get a tattoo on the last day.

yep I overlapped last time, ..... I still don't think its the easiest to do by yourself though trying to put it on nicely with one hand..... its probably going to be the easiest option though for my flight so might give it another shot.
