  1. awesome - 5k's are the most fun

running communities / competitions are often filled with very cool people

    very chill group typically

Well, hadn't even thought of running with other people so far. I'll be super glad if I just manage to somehow survive the last run of the programme, which should be 5k....although, I think there is a weekly 5k in my local park...hm...

It always tickles me to see references to this app in the wild. I am actually a character in that series. (Season 1, anyway.) I am Runner Six. It uses my name and everything, heh.

Wow, that's so random to meet you on LST! Cool, I now know that Runner Six has awesome tattoos, so it'll be even more fun to run with 'you' ;-)

  2. Nowhere near any of you with running, but as mentioned earlier I picked up running on a whim after reading about the C25K programme on here...swapped to zombies run 5k in the meantime as that's a bit more fun to listen to, but rather proud to say I'm still on it! I decided that I'll reward myself with kicking off the next tattoo once I've done my first 5k run....makes a rather good incentive I noticed, haha!

Just completed week 6, so not too long to go anymore I hope...

  3. Thanks very much for the advice. I am going to wait a while before going ahead with another session. I think I need to just book a consult with another artist so that I can be reassured that it can be fixed or covered up and then I can relax.

Sounds like a good plan, don't rush it! In the meantime, do lots of research and check out some more Dragons if you like ;-)

Hope you end up happier next time! You've come to a great place for advice here, so you're on a good way...

  4. There's a chance you'll have to pay an import fee, and they're 'holding' it. If so, you'll recieve a letter saying how much you have to pay. It happens to me all the time.

That's a good point. Happened to me once as well when I ordered T-Shirts from the US. It's been so long ago that I forgot about it though.

Oh well, as long as they didn't get lost.

  5. Not sure I understand why exactly you want to open a tattoo shop when you're not into tattoos??? Why not open a candy shop or sell car parts or whatever it is you're into, you must have some hobbies or interests, too?

Sure, there may be tattoo artists out there who could do with help from someone with business skills, but they'd probably be better off with someone who has both, business skills and a passion for tattoos...which almost certainly exists. Well, good luck anyway...

  6. @outrenthome From what I read here, people leave it on 2-6 days. I think I left mine on for four or five days because I felt like the tegaderm was protecting the area quite well and allowed me to almost forget about the tattoo. Doing so seemed perfectly fine.

As others said, no lotion under or on top of the derm. You'll need the lotion once you've taken the derm off. I'm no expert, but I'd say whenever it feels like it needs it, a couple of times a day. Just remember, thin layer of lotion only.

  7. @polliwog a couple of friends have had great success with the Couch to 5km program for building up their fitness.

    Couch to 5k - C25K Running Program

I blame you for posting this...I got curious, had a look at the link and decided pretty spontaneously to give it a try. Never ran in my life (except in primary school I think) and always thought I'd hate it. But I need to get fit and this sounded doable. So I downloaded the C25k app, bought some shoes and off I went for my first ever run yesterday! I must be going crazy, because I'm actually looking forward to the next one tomorrow now... :-)

  8. Also i just googled Marjoca, Spain.... that place looks beautiful.

Haha, no offense, but this made me laugh somehow...and also made me realise how narrow my own horizon is actually. I don't think I've ever met someone who said they hadn't heard of Majorca before. But then, I'm from Germany and it's "our" most popular holiday destination...

Besides, some very nice recommendations in here already, hope you find something that suits you @Jack Wright.

  9. Hey, it's not brilliant, but not bad enough to go into the 'worst tattoos ever' thread either, I'd say ;-) I'm sure someone on here will be able to help you find fantastic tattooers in Spain (are you willing to travel anywhere within Spain? If not you might want to be a bit more precise...) and then it's probably best to go and see someone in person to get a professional opinion.

    Good luck and welcome!

  10. I'd like to try this fantastic sounding stuff when I get my thigh done, but not sure what exactly it is I need to look for?

I've found this on amazon but am slightly confused by the "non-adherent absorbent pad" mentioned in its description...is this what I want to buy?

Any clarification would be much appreciated before I go off and waste my money on the wrong product...
