In all seriousness, what about a rokurokubi? Their necks can stretch and bend all kind of crazy ways and could definitely work around a scar. And theyre cool.

I suppose I'll contribute to our collection of giant ass-flowers. Finished a few weeks ago by Grez!

CaptainMidnight reacted to Tachiyaku in New from NJ
She's really fantastic, super friendly and fun. I have a couple of peonies with a traditional Lebanese brass coffee pot and cup nestled in them. Sorry for the crappy phone pics and weird angles, it's much more vibrant than what my phone is able to capture.

Three absolutely great tattoos so far! will add this into the mix just for fun. My 3/4 peacock sleeve by Mie at Nine Tails Tattoo in East London. Its a cover up of an old black and grey piece that I had 6 laser sessions on over a couple of years. Final touch up finished last week.

Hi
47 year male from central Texas here. Finally getting half a sleeve koi fish in traditional Japanese style this Thursday.
I'm very excited, but nervous. I did a lot of research on what artist I wanted to use
and decided on Katja Ramirez, who works out of Rock Of Ages in Austin, TX.
Really like the work I have seen from her. Just hope I don't embarrass myself and can take the pain.
I do have a small tattoo, that is going to be covered up. Been reading a lot of posts and it has been very helpful.
Just a short introduction and thanks for the helpful posts.

So many awesome tattoos here lately, wish my tapatalk likes would show up!
I got double teamed on my feet today, Jason Walstrom did the pig while Mimi Wunsch did the rooster.
Pics stolen from their IG's.
Wasnt as bad as I'd thought it might be beforehand, but definately stung more in a few places than most other spots so far, a bit worse than collarbone, nowhere near as bad the rib cliff. It's gonna be a fun few healing days coming up I'm sure!

If someone asks for this in lettering I will refuse to do anything but an image for it. I mean c'mon that could be so much fun.

CaptainMidnight reacted to TaeTae in Kitsune
Really love this simple Fox and Crane piece
Am I right in thinking there are two types of Kitsune in Japanese stories? The benevolent kind and malevolent kind, anyone have any more specific info on this?

I couldn't find many examples either for kitsune ideas when I was looking around, but I just asked Seth Wood if he wanted to draw one for my back - fortunately he was interested. I think you just have to find someone you trust and go for it!

^^^ I don't think that's what Dr. Seuss had in mind. At least he got the apostrophes correct.

It would be interesting to know. Having grown up here (and hence, around a lot of Mormons) I do know that tattooing is quite taboo in LDS culture and I would imagine that tattoos are extremely rare among individuals who have always identified with Mormon culture. It's actually something that can be used as a cultural differentiator even here in SLC.

Mainstream LDS are definitely anti tattoo (I think it might be in their doctrine). Not sure about RLDS/CoC but I bet it's the same doctrine on tattoos.
