I'm Kieran and I'm an alcoholic. Oh wait...

Joined the forum in the hopes that someone can help me identify the artist of a traditional tattoo I fell hard in love with and can't track down.I am tortured by it.

That's the problem - I don't have one. I saw it in a book and copied the artists name into my phone which brilliantly got stolen. I had just been tattooed for 4 hours so was feeling a little cracked out when I saw it and for the life of me can't recall who it was by.

Anyway , its a traditional style wolf , howling at the moon and underneath there is banner saying Forever Alone , or I am forever alone or something similar in traditional lettering. Any clues?

Honestly, that subject matter is common across so many tattoos that it would be pretty impossible to pinpoint the artist based on that description alone. Do you have an idea of where the artist was based out of?

Can you describe the book?

Thank you both for taking time to respond, so appreciated.

I can't remember much about the book bar that it featured alot of varied traditional work and I think it was broken up into themes ....Bert Krak was stuck in my mind but looked at so many books that time, could be non related. I emailed his site and am waiting on a reply anyway -but think the artist was US based.

If you went to Bert Krak and asked for this....he would draw you up something you would love....I am sure of that! Good luck with your search.....

This is a great idea, but I am also going to suggest going to Ron Henry Wells because his wolves are super amazing, especially if you want the weirder side of things:

I agree!

I have been trying to get something from Ron for a while now but can never catch up with him it seems and when I do I am already getting tattooed by someone else!

It will happen though.....

    • First let me say I've never seen exactly that related to tattoos. Second, I am NOT a doctor, so take any advice with a grain of salt and follow it at your own risk. I do have something like that which appears on my face from time to time. After multiple visits to the dermatologist, which didn't fix it, I finally came up with my own treatment. Whenever it flairs up, I just wipe the area down with plain rubbing alcohol three or four times a day to keep it dry. That usually works within a couple of days. Again, I'm not a doctor, but I don't think it would hurt anything for you to try that. Good Luck.
    • Hey, I have a serious problem! I got a tattoo in Manila 4 weeks ago. The artist is very well known and is one of the most renowed. 2 day after tattooing, small pimples began to form on my thight an many at the tattoo. 3 days later i had fever at night (just at night). After that, the pimpels began to spread very quickly all over the body. (back stomach etc..) I have now been to 3 doctors and everyone is at a loss. The blood work is fine and with no anomalies. Antibiotic ointment and cortisone ointment did not help. Xyzall allergy tablets did not help either. When i took cortisone tablets, 90% of the pimpels disappeared on the tattoo, but not on the other parts of the body. Now that I´am no longer taking cortisone, the pimpels on the tattoo are starting to grow back again very quick. On the other parts of the skin , the pimpels are sometimes lighter and sometimes stronger. This can be change hourly. They don´t hurt and hardy lever itch. Of course I´am afraid of a tattoo allergie. Has anyone already had this problem ? Does anyone know what that could be ? I add photos: 1) Photo directly after tattooing. 2) 2 Photos with the pimpels after a week 3) After 3 weeks while taking cortisone. 4) Photo of the body on the left.
