Would this work?

Recommended Posts

I thought hard and long about this.. and I regret the font. The placement isn't where I wanted it and the font just doesn't look good.

Im now thinking about getting a cover up and have been looking hard, I came across this rose design and I like it. Just wondering if it'll work and get rid of the tattoo I have now. Thank you-

That's going to be tough to cover up - Big Fat Dark letters. I don't think that rose you showed will cover it up as is. You should see someone who specializes in cover ups. You will probably need to do some laser on that first.

hello @Jbrnes  i would suggest you just leave it. life is about learning. so what if the font/placement is slightly off ? the message likely is your truth (considering you're holding a baby in the picture!). so own it and don't live life with regret, it's too short and that is not what tattoo is about. if you dig the idea of a rose, put it on the other side. roses make great tattoos. but i think you can get more creative than that, especially in a visible place like the neck. get some other tattoos all over the body, each experience will guide and inform you.

And yes, get a panther tattoo. Doesn't matter where. Just get one, you won't regret that !

    • Does anyone have any experience with applying Tegaderm after the first four days? I'm completely new to both tattooing and Tegaderm, I'm hoping to get some advice/reassurance. Anyway, I got my first tattoo as part of a Friday the 13th flash deal. It's pretty small and simple, just a mountain range over the ditch of my left elbow. My tattoo artist wrapped it and told me I could take the bandaging off after two hours. I left it on for about six and then started cleaning it 2-3 times a day with soap, applying A&D ointment after as instructed. It started itching around Day 4 and my friend offered me Tegaderm to prevent scratching in my sleep. I put on a 6 inch x 8 inch (15cm x 20cm) Tegaderm and I've had it on for a day with no issues. There's slight leaking but from what I've read on this forum, that's normal.  Is it OK to keep the Tegaderm on to stop myself from scratching? When should I take it off? Should I be worried about interrupting the scabbing/peeling process by covering the tattoo?
