Leaderboard

So on Friday I went down to Denver to see my man Walter McDonald at Lifetime tattoo, got a pretty good start on my back. We left some details out of the initial outline (tiger stripes, radiating beams of light..) and plan to add some background and extend downward in future sessions. Super excited to finally start this and see where we go from here, also my back feels like I've been utilizing less than proper lifting techniques.

I use a new, clean razor the first time, just in case. I would not shave if anything still hurt, or if there are any scabs, raised areas, or big peeling left to do that the razor is going to scrape off. Different parts of my legs, and different artists have all led to slightly different timelines.

I have an appointment on 01/13/17 for a "13" and a couple flowers with a local artist. to start some small fill on my legs,and to finally get a 13,funny I have never had one done,my bday is 10/13.

Next thing I need to work out is the flowers to give it a bit of a colour lift. I'd like Scottish wildflowers but peony and rose were mentioned at the end of 7 hours of needles. Thought required...

Snake has now become a raven. 7hrs today - the collarbone stuff was a stinger for sure. Talking of which, done by Guerra Stinger of Extreme Tattoo, Inverness. Another couple of hours to come adding some colourful flowers and more leaves. I like it! Now need shower and bed...

@TheFnTexan it honestly was one of the nicest shops I have ever been in. Everyone was crazy nice, everything was super clean and just has an all around good vibe. I'm looking forward to him coming back so we can do some more. Trash Polka :)

I have one last session to go on my back,I already had tattoos on my chest/stomach, two sleeves, legs, feet, hands, fingers and neck so ok with the pain. Ive been waiting ages to get my back done as i couldn't decide what to get or who to do it but anyway i found a guy and an idea and away i went. First session was just outline and it was tough, i realised that the back was comparable to my stomach/chest/feet Second session was black and some color on shoulder blades....this session was a bit easier as i knew what to expect, sat for 6 hours felt crap after Third session blasted it for 6 hours with not much left to do...I found the top of my back the absolute worse. here it is so far roughy 15 hours of actual tattoo time. its worth it but it does hurt and itches loads but looks badass and makes you look fully sick and the disco.

Booked in with Marius Meyer in the beginning of february. Been putting it of for years, but now is the time! Told him I would be getting a dragon, but I might get something else. Doesn't really matter, as everything he does is perfect.
