  3. This thread has been a goldmine for me as a newbie painter. I started out with cheap shit and struggled but upgrading my paper and paints made my life so much better. Attached a painting with cheap paper and the works pain then a flower with decent (not arches but still) paper and student paints.

  4. Hope it was clear =) English is only my second language. Conclusion : I don't personally think that this is an infection, I'd say "just wait and see" and let your skin breath ^^. But as I say, I'm no doctor ^^.

  5. @Makmak: Your t shirt might have stuck to it because of the lymph. I never have lymph two days after a tattoo because I leave the plastic film during one full night, so everything (the ink surplus and the lymph) goes out faster. And you might have put too much cream on it. When people have difficulties to remove the plastic film or their clothes because they stuck to the tattoo, we advice to remove them under a lukewarm shower. It's normal to feel like you pulled the skin off. It's the "peeling" (I can't find another word in English. In France we call that "desquamation"). It's totally normal. You can have that on the entire surface of the tattoo. Usually, your tattoo must be intact under. If it's not and if you have some "holes", you might need some touch-ups. It doesn't meen that it's your fault. The tattooer can have tattooed too close from the surface of the skin, making all the ink go away during the peeling phase. Just put a thin layer of cream on your tattoo, otherwise you are going to smother/stiffle it. Your skin needs to breath. If your skin remains dry, put some cream more frequently, but always a thin layer. Many people heal without putting any cream. The skin gets dry, but there isn't a big risk to ruin the tattoo, as soon as you don't pull out the skin off during the peeling phase. Cream is only for people's comfort. Red skin, heat and pain are the symptoms of an infection. If you have a doubt, ask a doctor.

    Tattoo aftercare question

I think all you can do at this point is let it heal and see what it looks like. If it happens again, just wet the shirt and let the dried plasma soften and it will come loose without damage.

  7. The inside of your wrist is a tough spot. The skin is really thin there. Without knowing what it was supposed to look like, it's hard to judge. I'm in the minority here, but I wouldn't go back to an artist that screwed something up the first time. I just wouldn't have the confidence. It's not a bad tattoo, but there is nothing about it that would send me back to the artist that did it.

  8. Hey there. Is this your first tattoo? Did the artist draw it on or was it s stencil? Did you provide a reference? A little context would be helpful. Do.not.panic. Tattoos by nature are applied by humans thus subject to imperfection which is why you can look at your tattoos under a microscope. Things can almost always be fixed but you need to breathe and relax...

  10. if there is blowouts, relax, let it heal and don't worry about it now, there is nothing to do about any blowouts for now anyway. blowouts can happen to anybody, anywhere on the body, by any artist. in 3 months when it is fully healed, look at it again, enjoy it, and then start start planning your next even more amazing tattoo.

    Bump in tattoo?

Well, it's been two months and it had gone down a bit, but not completely. It seems to be shrinking slowly though. Again, that bump was not on the tattoo when it was first done so God only knows what happened. It doesn't bother me though, actually when I do notice it I cant see help but remember what someone on here told me "The panther just scratched deeper there"
