I was filing the "this just in" pile of my record collection and found this David Allen Coe outlaw country record I had picked up a while ago, with super-cool tattoos on the album artwork:

Got me thinking about other album covers and musicians with tattoo art...I know there have been a bunch that influenced me at an early age. Especially that Santana album, blew my mind when I first saw it as kid. post em up!

The inside of both wrists and feet, totally tolerable for me. I've had odd small spots here and there that were pure fire though, like my chest and outer bicep.

Tommy Montoya was doing something similar. His instagram is private now but before he marked it private he was tattoo hair on guys that had receding hair lines. Looked like these dudes got a buzz cut and had a little hair growing back.

Healing the outline on my back has so far been pretty easy and comfortable. Looking forward to those huge patches of dry flakey shading.

Maybe I'll tag along on that trip, lol. I've been wanting that as a tattoo as well. I also gave all my groomsmen Leatherman tools as gifts for my wedding.

@herewego Walter's is excellent and you can't go wrong with an Old Fashioned and oysters there.

@herewego, yeah. It's literally two doors down from Saved if you're facing it. It has a coffee shop, bakery, groceries, and other incidentals.

@tattooeddad Best Pizza was solid when I went, but didn't blow me away. I'd definitely try it again, though.

Here's my baby! Seven hours down, an estimated two to go to finish up. Done by the incredible Erick Holguin of Ink & Dagger in Roswell, GA. It got a little sore at the end, but he was so gentle/light handed that it was smooth sailing for the majority of it. It's in memory of my mother, who loved cardinals, and is even better than I ever imagined.

This convention is run by Villain Arts. Check out their website for the artist attending list and look for a quality artist in the style you prefer. I like the convention atmosphere but it's not for everyone. I got tattooed in Baltimore at the 2010 convention and got stuck there in a blizzard for two days. Artists were giving tattoos away because 60 percent of the appointments were canceled due to the weather. There are good possibilities that you could get a walk up tattoo from a good artist, however the most sought after artists usually book up in advance. Also just because an artist is there doesn't mean they are good at their trade.
