Andrew Conner is finishing my chest this evening after a long 4 years of putting off appointments and only wanting to sit for 1.5-2 hours at a time. It'll be good to have that done!

Ha ha. Worst thing I've had is tops of both feet & they were like ham hocks the next day, they wouldn't fit in my shoes but they weren't all that bad after that I don't think. I am 100% put off knees now! Sod that.

Tebori has it's own elements. It's one of those things. Subtle color variances and shade due to how it is applied by hand. It really can make it look like you were born with it.

I like Jason Brooks' work--a real feast for the eyes. Keep us posted on that piece.

I second that. Looking forward to my appointment with Jay in a couple weeks after a too long (three month) layoff.

@Reyeslv, yeah dude, I'm definitely stoked to see what Coleman works out for you. Jay Cavna is also so friggin' good! -

i reckon you need to get a snake fighting a panther which is fighting a tiger then put the sun and banner in the back ground and instead of rejoice the banner should say "double hard bastard"

writerAZ reacted to ThaliaCamille in The race to get covered vs the desire to still be able to get tattooed.
For me, it's purely aesthetic. I prefer the look of a single, well-composed, continuous piece on the arm. Different strokes, is all.

I joined just to contribute a photo of my neck-to-knees backpiece done by Dan Wysuph at Samuel O'Reilly's in Santa Cruz, CA. My username here was derived from the nickname I earned by spending so much time naked in their shop. I think Adam Barton originally coined it and everyone there calls me that to this day.
It took 20 three-hour sessions over the course of almost 2 years. To answer an earlier question regarding healing, it is not sitting on fresh tattoo that hurts, it's sitting down or standing up, or just about any other activity that makes your clothes (or sheets!) rub the area. Also, having a wife to help with the cleaning aspect of the healing process was a huge help.

@Cork - your idea may still be safe ;) going off the kings avenue blog, this isn't a representation of Kongo-yasha, but an image of Gundari Myoo, both of which are part of the five great wisdom kings and look pretty similar -

I think the next challenge should be when Oliver Peck tells the contestants to "Build a tattoo machine out of hair dryer parts. You will have one hour to complete this challenge, and it must have three speeds".
