  1. Welcome! From what I can see in the picture the tattoo looks fine and I'm sure the lotion is no problem. The biggest piece of advice I can give you with the new tattoo is to LITFA: Leave it the Fuck Alone! Let your body heal.. don't sit there at the sink and wash it ten times a day and then slather it in lotion -- your body will heal up just fine on its own. I usually do a thin layer of lotion once a day. It's gonna hurt and be red for at least another few days but in a week's time you should start to see it peel and flake a little bit and then might get itchy -- this is when the lotion comes in handy. Just be patient and you should be good to go!

  2. Convinced I'm getting too old for this shit, but pretty proud of sitting through the outline on my belly last night.. though I did feel like a crazy person when we finished. All I could think was, "There's no way I can start my back.. there's no way I can start my back.." The worst part is the shitty sleep, though. I sleep on my front, so I basically spent last night dozing off and then having to get comfortable on my side again. Waaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh

  3. I love how this thread is turning into a discussion on masculinity and no women have posted yet except myself. Excellent.

I just emailed Kings Ave to book with Kim-Anh Nguyen in May for a one-shot butterfly (woo!). I have a feeling she will have the design I desire :)

Did this happen? How'd I miss this? Funny enough, I just picked up that sheet o' flutter-bys from Perez, I'd love to get one or three.

  4. Yeah it's like you automatically have something in common with someone. I have had a few convos with some other tatted people and we shared who did our tattoos

Sometime people don't like to bothered for some reason about their tattoos, not sure why

Sure, it's still exciting and fun to be part of the club! However.. it gets exhausting when you're just trying to do your job or go to the deli, but of course that all depends on my mood. And chances are, I won't have anything more in common with Joe Schmoe that's covered in tattoos than with Joe Schmoe who doesn't have tattoos. I get what you're saying though dude, I remember that feeling when I started getting tattooed!

Got this from Mike Aul in Ann Arbor, MI yesterday. Isn't it adorable?

Oh man, I'm super into Michael Aul's work! His paintings are something special.. Think he did a few days here at Three Kings and had no idea til it was too late. I like this little dude, I have a similar one on my leg redrawn from the Cliff White Bowery book. Nice job all around!
