  1. I don't want to be the person that puts a crimp in everybody's style. And porn itself is not something I'm going to judge; it's just that there's a time and place for everything. Professional people don't try to offend 50% of the population as soon as they walk in the door. This is a forum about tattoos, for chrissake. You should know a thing or to about people judging based on outward appearances.

I don't think you'll put a crimp in anyone's style here. You are assuming that 50% of the people who walk into a tattoo shop are offended by porno. For me it depends; are you talking about playboy or graphic hardcore porno. Playboy I don't care one way or the other and I don't think 50% of the people who are getting a tattoo care either; hardcore porn, I agree and I wouldn't go to a shop that had that laying all over the place.

As far as being judged by appearance, as a man with long hair, tattoos and motorcycles, I think I may have encountered some judgmental people in my day.

  2. Sorry, fuckhead, but if they are that awesome, they don't need to supplement their bad-assery with poor "art."

As a woman, porn in a public area is pretty off-putting; if I wanted to hang out in a bachelor pad I'd go down to the frat house. I want to work with a professional artist, not some sleazeball who'll jack off in the bathroom after my session.

I can tell by your language that you are a lady of class and breeding and easily offended.

  3. I think we were extremely civil in response. A mild rib-poke or ball-busting is to be expected on whatever forum someone is a member of, esp when someone does a faux pah. It's not like a personal attack or anything. I would expect the same if I said felinecat, regardless of how many posts or how long I've been here.

Well I'm not always right, no matter what I say! I stand corrected. As the old saying goes, "nobody wins a pissing contest."

  4. to be fair, it was posted very recently in what is likely the most popular and frequented thread on the entire forum, and had recieved several responses. the people who wanted to comment on the tattoo could do so there... and i'm pretty sure a few did.

Agreed, but as I said there are ways of handling this without publicly calling someone out. Also sometimes in those long threads it's hard to tell what comments pertain to what post if people don't quote the post they are commenting on, but maybe that's just my early onset Alzheimers talking. My only point is that if you want a healthy growing community, insulting new comers is not the way to achieve it.

  5. getting clowned for seeking attention is less desirable than not getting the attention they wanted in the first place.

True, or people could exercise some restraint or practice a little civility or send a PM letting the poster know how things work. There is another forum whose name I won't mention where newcomers are flamed unmercifully and they have a handful of the same people doing all of the posting. I don't see much of that here and I think that it encourages people to join AND stay. It's in everyone's best interest to have a thriving community.

  6. How are you supposed to learn ANYTHING in two weeks?

Wow you hire a plumber who'd only had 2 weeks "learning" and no weeks on the job? I wouldn't. I just had the DNR over to remove a bird's nest from my dryer ducts and I wouldn't want a DNR agent who'd only been training for 2 years. He would have killed the birds and wrecked my dryer.

Like, if it was a 2 year college course thing and somebody could get like, an associate's degree in tattooing, I wouldn't mind. But two friggin' weeks?

Watch the videos and you'll have much more confidence. They start on Monday, are tattooing by Thursday and are shading by Saturday. Why do a long apprenticeship when you can be up and scratching, I mean running in just two weeks???

  7. @Hogrider, I'm speaking more on the customer who walks in to the cutom shop and it goes like this,

customer: Yo' I'm lookin to get some ink you have time now?

tattooer: what are you looking to get?

    cutomer: i dont care'

tattooer: do you have any idea's

cutsomer: you're the artist, you tell me.

I stand corrected. I agree with what you are saying.

  8. the phrase "i dont care"/your the artist"..im kinda lame like that..but if some one doesnt care about what their getting what motivation am i suposed to have?

I have found in other mediums that the best art comes from letting the artist do what they want to do. I'm working on a sleeve and my only input is that I want japanese style. Other than that, I'm letting him do what he wants. I want to wear his art. I'm not saying everyone should do that, or that it is appropriate for every artist, but when I say, "I don't care" or "you're the artist" I really mean - I want your best work and your artistic vision.

  9. So, why does this moke need to use vinyl gloves? Is he that freaking toxic he's afraid to catch something from himself???

I like that he's wiping the blood with his dirty t-shirt and then setting it on his dirty pants while he scratches out the next letter. He gives dumb scum a bad name.

  10. Thanks. I think we probably have another session to finish some outlines and shading before we start the color. I love it, but to go from no tattoos to a sleeve in three months has been a hell of a shock to the system. Your octopus is outstanding. I'd love to get one, but we'll see. When I'm still healing from a session, I'm less inclined to think about anything beyond finishing the sleeve! I just let Jesse run with the sleeve. I told him I wanted Japanese and left everything up to him. I really think I made the right decision.

  11. Even I know to keep away from tattooers like this one. I mean 18 years? It seems far fetched seeing his style (or the lack of it) so I wouldn't trust him. I'm not an expert so cannot say any more then that...just wouldn't trust him with my tattoo no matter how hard people defended his work. As for the tattoos he does I just can't believe that after '18 years in the biz' he can't advise his clients something better to tattoo or tattoo it better...

Some people don't get that there is a difference between 18 years of experience and 1 year of experience 18 times. :-)

  12. I'm new to tattoos, but I'm working on a sleeve. My first sessions were 4 and 5 hours respectively and I was really tired after them, but my last session was 6 1/2 hours of pretty steady work and I was exhausted for two days. I don't know if it's related to my advanced years (54), but I just fell into bed when I got home.

  13. Hey.......I am going to remove my tattoo and I am really confused which treatment should I choose ? Please give me some solution for it. Thanks in advance.
Hey.....I just want complete information about tattoo removal method. Is their any side effect of this treatment. Can anyone help me. Looking forward for your reply.
I found the Laser method to be the best among all the tattoo removal methods. I have tried it and there was no side effect of it. Thanks.

Let's see, first you are confused, then you want to know all about it, then you know all about it. Why don't you just post your shitty site now and get it over with. You sign up with a name like DrTatooff and get in on tattoo removal threads, you just have to be spamming. And by some strange coincidence, there is a site called Drtatooff!

Maybe you could change your screen name to DrJerkoff.
