  1. Based on that reference and what you got I think you were asking the wrong artist to do that style.  Its also a bunch of thick bold B&G trad pieces around it.  All things considered I think that the person did a good job of putting something in theme for your arm, it has a simple folk kind of american traditional vibe.  Personally based on the reference if you want small details then you need to get a big tattoo not a small arm banger, your reference is detailed to be a whole thigh or chest even.

I thought they did a great job at giving some insight on their history with the family. So interesting... @Oiocha Oh, and I think that I saw your backpiece drawing?

They did an amazing job and the episode was great.  There was a quick peak of my back drawing indeed, I had a small moment to myself at work, I held in the excitement.

All of the episodes have been great so far. 22 minutes feels a little limited compared to some of the older ones on Youtube, but whatever.

And yeah, @Hands On....King of the Road is awesome. All of the seasons have been killer.

it definitely feels like each episode could fill out an hour and a half easy.

i've already watched it thrice. it's going to be a great summer!

anyone know if all the eps will be on the website or youtube? i kept my cable upgraded with viceland partially because of this! i might keep it for King of the Road tho. ☺️

The episodes are on Viceland TV website the day after they air.  Horitomo's and Taki's episode were basically as calm and reserved as they are in the shop, in my opinion at least.

I'm actually amazed, but I was able to get decent runs in after getting my knees tattooed. The other day I did a 15 miler the morning after getting my thigh tattooed. I was pleasantly surprised. But if it's sore, definitely makes sense to err on the side of caution.

I  had to do some route setting for my University within a week of getting the Steve Byrne piece I got.  That was tough to keep clean and it was sore and itchy the whole way; chalk, dirt, sweat, and vinegar literally everywhere.

Another souvenir from my trip to Spider Murphys last month by Laurent Trelaun.

I'm always amazed at the tattoos you get, where you get them, and the travelling you do! You and that tattoo kick butt!

Interestingly, I didn't say anything to him about doing tebori or not, but he did know that I needed to have it finished if at all possible in the two sittings. Not only was the trip stupid expensive, I have two days booked in October to finish my leg and he was pretty clear that he didn't want anyone tattooing near his piece until his part was done. I'd love to have some tebori at eventually! @scottyg

Hey maybe we'll run into each other, I'm hoping to go for my birthday in October!

Looking forward to Pagoda in August! Getting a rad half chrome tiger head from Tim Lehi on my hip, a lucky mallet from Acetates on my inside thigh, and whatever pops out of Matt Kerley's line book and tickles my fancy haha. Not much room left now.

That is going to be one hell of a weekend.  One day maybe in a year or two once I have some money saved up I will go to Pagoda or Bay Area con! Kerley has been on my list for some time and I was sad to see him jump coasts before I could get to him, although my track record shows that being on the other coast doesnt really stop me.

  7. Thanks guys!  It was a rough weekend, if I'm allowed to over share I got broken up with while I was out there, and woke up today at 6:00am to go get poked by the dentist.  So having Horitomo be so nice and get so much work done was a real pick me up!  He was super excited that I finally came back and he gets to work on both a back piece and a Monmon piece.  Shading is so incredibly easy in comparison to the lines, its almost silly how much easier it is. I hope it stays easy to get shading.

  8. @Makmak woah thats really red! might want to seriously talk to your artist about what products to use and how to keep your tattoos from getting so angry (hygiene, aftercare, brands to use for said care).  Secondly go to a dermatologist, any number of things could have happened or you might just be using something that is irritating the tattoo/skin.

    ABOUT THIS BLOG

I just got a tattoo a week ago, this is how my tattoo looks a week after I got another tattoo by the same artist and the second one looks so much better. Should I be worried about infection, or did she go too deep and mess up or am I just completely screwed with this tattoo. It looks horrible now....

First this isn't the thread for this kind of question. Second the time passed between photos is unclear, at least to me. The first photo looks like a standard fresh and angry tattoo.  I think you might not have followed the aftercare instructions for it to look like that.  Lastly go to your artist and then possibly a medical professional, if you are worried ask them, we aren't professionals and we don't know what you did for aftercare.
