For a small one off tattoo its less important to me, but for long term work YES, i dont want to sit for hrs and hrs with an asshole.

I think personality/attitude is very important. I will take a less than perfect tattoo from a great person before I take a world-class tattoo from an asshole. Anyway though, I think their personality shows in their work to the extent that I wouldn't be attracted to an assholes artwork...at least I don't think.
Short answer -- personality is very important to me. The experience and memory of the moment is going to outlive the crispnesss and vibrance of the tattoo, I think...

Tigers... Richard's to be specific, and I tossed his latest Tiger-Shark in too... He can never get tired of the big cats... I have soo many Pantera Pardus, and Leopard heads, and hyena's... But he always comes back to the tiger.

Finished this morning "Cobra vs. Mongoose" Montana on 8x4 panel. I need to figure out what do with these big-ass panels now :p

I think the newer female client base that has been brought up on "Ink" shows has a perception now of what a tattoo shop should be like based on television and anything raunchier than playboy would probably turn them off!
Would that matter to me.....hell no!
But why give any client a reason not to come into your shop?

Eh, sometimes you like the feeling of a magazine in your hand or around, you know? Feels tangible, more "real." I mean, that is just speculation on my part.
Um....
Ok.

They can get anything a guy can get and it won't look silly. But then they can also get...
Hummingbirds. Dammit, I like hummingbirds. I always have a feeder for them every spring and summer. Can't get 'em
Butterflies. I have a butterfly garden, too. I also really love to go to the city's butterfly garden on the bike trail. But a big fat greasy Dago with a butterfly tattoo?
Bonus points: My favorite butterfly is the Swallowtail. UGGH!
Unicorns: I can't really explain this one. I just think they kick ass.


I'd like to get an octopus tattoo. I used to have these recurring dreams that humanity had exterminated itself and over the course of nigh countless millenia an Octopoid species became intelligent and dominant on the new Earth and I was their philosopher-king. I think it means they are my "spirit animal" or something. But I don't want my family to be making fun of my "pussy" tattoo and making James Bond Octopussy references against me.
Ah fuck it. I'll get an eagle or something. I guess.

There's no point worrying about what other people think. Most people live in their own little world and wont even notice your butterfly tattoo, and anyone who insults you for it is a judgemental dick whose opinion is worthless.
(Plus the idea that "feminine" traits are negative is harmful, blah blah feminist ideology.)

I lost a friend over the weekend. Marty was brilliant and he was also a mess. He told stories that were almost never true, but he also had a kind and empathetic heart. When he listened to you, you knew he was listening. Not sure why I am posting it here...some sort of memento mori, or epitaph? Not sure, I just wanted to let the world know that I loved my friend.

So, just so I know I'm not crazy. Does anybody else in here remember when FTW meant F*ck The World and not For The Win? I get a little chuckle when I see a lot of people saying FTW.

I also got this one while I was in Arizona. It was done by my friend Tony Sellers while he was visiting Immaculate. It's a Mando Rascon lady.
