  1. Right on, yeah when I'm out that way I stay at a homies place right at the BQE near Union Pool. I will let you know next time I'm out! You ever eat at Dan's place, The Lodge? I eat there almost once a day when there.

People always enjoy themselves there as there's so much going on, so wether or not you know about customs, hotrods, etc it doesn't matter...insanity at its finest!

  2. Thanks Patrick. Every August when we, RCC, used to all get together for the annual Rumblers CC New York car show under the BQE on the Sunday after we would go to Coney Island.

Some of my favorite pictures I've taken were of us hanging out there (I may have some in my profile photo gallery?). I have many stories from there including all of us being kicked out one year after many hours of having fun or we were having fun but I guess they didn't enjoy our company just our money. The final snapping point for them was when we put our friend who's going blind and our other friend who's paralyzed in a bumper car with the blind man driving and that was that. Our homie who's going blind was yelling at them, "if I could see you I'd knock you out!", while a group of forty or so of us being escorted out......haha laughing out loud as I think about it.

Then there was the numerous times riding the Cyclone back to back to back to back until everyone tapped out leaving bruised and bloodied.

Anywho, thanks as this brings back many good memories!!

    Until next time.....

  3. I am a sucker for words, sayings, etc as they have way more meaning than the surface value of them that we often just let spill out. Probably why my focus in grad school is Linguistics under the practice of Psychology. Jake as you said Fidelity for me is a very big one hence why it is on my knuckles. People come and go and unfortunately are in it for their own gain to fulfill short term fixes rather than the long haul of having those they loves back through thick and thin. At the same time I do understand people come and go into one anothers lives for a reason but it is important to stay true. So I try to live daily loyal to my friends, crews, self, and work so passion shines bright in the small and larger pictures. After all, all we have is our word and a handshake.

Here are some cool blogs and threads on the site revolving around words that I often read:

Gougetheeyes did this cool blog on Literary Tattoos.

Mrs. RAD did this blog on Song Lyric Tattoos.

This thread in the Tattoo Designs forum area on Tattoo Fonts/ Tattoo Lettering.

This thread in the War Stories forum area titled Band or Song Tattoos.

I look forward to hearing other words LSTers live by, thanks Jake.

  4. -Live in the Caribbean and travel the various islands on a boat.

-Live in Japan for one month

-Own a private practice once I get my MFT for youth where they can get competent, non-authorative, client centered, guided, & driven therapy with full confidentiality for free/sliding scale that legally they are eligible for but few Therapist acutally abid by this/know this.

-Leave behind at least one business my god kids, nephews, and nieces all have a share in and have an opportunity to take over when I die.

-And many more things.....the time is ticking, memento mori carpe diem!

I have an exercise I developed at least five years ago I used for a few years with youth similar to this but it is an open questionaire. If I can find it in my files I will post. Thanks Alana!

  5. Good morning Kyle and thanks for first blog with link at Last Sparrow Tattoo. Lastly, thanks for the mentions on twitter and also link/mention in your tattoo blog at tumblr.

  6. Is it weird that their are more dudes posting here than ladies? Anywho, Patrick you and your lady do some cool blogs. I check yours regularly since you first told us about it on LST and have told others about it. Now your ladies I will have to share as well.

My homie in New York lady own this shoe company: http://cri-de-coeur.com/tag/moo-shoes/ that is right up your alley I believe?!? Not a dress but shoes and I know girls tend to love their shoes and most guys like ladies that wear awesome shoes as well.

  7. This is yet another amazing blog from an LSTer! Thank you for taking the time to post such a well crafted insightful and progressive post with us plus tattoo video and tattoo pictures!! Who would of thought a usb cord, computer, tattoo machine would allow a tattoo to be finished due to a power outage? It just goes to show how genius some tattooers are and jacks of many trades!!!!!

For those who want more on the State of Grace Tattoo Convention.
