Welcome aboard. I think you'll find that many of us have multiple versions of subjects. I have a few different roses, a couple of matching swallows, several stars, a few skulls, and probably more that I've forgotten. A friend of mine has a sleeve of different hawks. Some good advice: work on it with a good artist - placement is going to matter when you start getting multiples. Have fun - I wish I could go back and start again, not because I regret anything I've done, it's just that the process was so great.

I doubt most here would say much against getting multiple tattoos of one animal, especially in different styles. I have a Tigger, a Chinese tiger, and plan on a Flying Tigers logo next year.

been a year since i got a tattoo until the other night. nothing huge or anything just wanted to get one more from this dude before he takes off.

I've seen the tiny stars and other fill on plenty of sleeves. As long as they don't distract from the main work, put in anything you like.
This is a good example of a traditional sleeve that isn't so busy that you can't make out the primary tattoos.

Personally, I'd go with small leaves & vines, clouds, or something that ties the whole sleeve together. That may take planning ahead by your artist.
