Looks like it's a girl, and looks like she doesn't have any tattoos, so I'd stay the fuck away and go find a real tattooer.
Also what the fuck is this? https://instagram.com/p/3USZz8v9es/?taken-by=machinaelectrica

I personally love the look of big work that has had time to sit in the skin, it is something very intangible that adds heavily to the tattoo itself and the person wearing it.
@Dan I'm really not much for flames, but I can contribute maybe.
I recently had a fun one with pricing a small one shot tattoo. I even reached out about it on this site for advice. I was quoted almost a grand on a small 2 - 2.5 hour one shot from a newish artist. I was caught off guard by the price, and I found out the artist was basically doing a cash grab to help fund a vacation. I was put off by this a lot, and ended up not going to him.
Other than that particular instance I am OK paying for my work. I feel it is what the world of tattooing has become, and since I want to participate in that world I pay the admission. (It's all starbucks fault to me now)
It was much like the shock of dropping $85 to see cannibal corpse when I remember seeing them for $5 in the 90s. But Willie Nelson remembers paying a dime for a dime bag so it is what it is.
BUT, I completely agree with the walk ins, I have had crazy bad luck getting a walk in over the past few months in several shops. I have made several attempts (EACH) to get a fun old school shark, a knee cap dinosaur head, and a panther. ALL remain not on me. One was met with a "Bro, lets do this now!" I was pumped and said lets go, and it became a time crunch and he wouldn't have enough time to finish it the way he would like. I'm cash in hand shrugging my shoulders. I have a nice break from work til sept 8th, lets see what I can get done.
Finally, while I have been greeted by the shop guys, I haven't been turned away from any artists. I believe a lot of that is to filter out the bullshit that walks in everyday that wastes time (dude I totally want a sleeve / back piece / rib piece of something badass, what I'm not leaving a deposit screw that) I have been witness to a lot of this while getting some chair time.
EDIT: Sailor Jerry would roll in his grave if he knew his name was repping some garbage rum.

so being a guy here is my .02,I love showing all my tattoos and I love the attention and I enjoy talking to other tattooed people and plainskins as well about my tattoos,
maybe I'm a little crazy, but I am a very outgoing person and I will go up and comment or start a conversation with other tattooed people anytime anywhere,
if they are friendly great ! if not,I just walk away,
I also enjoy comments or questions from plainskins,IMO that's good for us tattooed people so that maybe the plainskins won't think we are all ex felon axe murderers,
I wear shorts sandals and t-shirts as often as I can, which is every day ! LOL I even wear shorts and short sleeve golf shirts for work, the weather here in nor cal is pretty mild.

We went to Omaha for a couple days to shop, take the kids to the zoo and there's a waterpark at the hotel. So. We're shopping-I had a racerback tank on. I had...I dunno, I quit counting/keeping track, SO many people-mostly women, come up and ohhh and ahh over my tattoos! Seriously-three times alone from the door of Spaghetti Works until we walked to our table! Every store at least one person randomly in an aisle, plus waiting for dressing rooms, plus every check out line, plus every time we were outside walking to another store. It was insane. My husband had to keep turning around to walk back and look for me b/c I'd been waylaid, talking w/someone about them! He's like "Good lord honey, they are *drawn* to you today! You're like a rock star!" It was pretty crazy. I quite liked it!

right, the plasma will bleed out for the first 10 or so hours, that's why I posted the detailed steps I use that work great, the first time I was introduced to this product I did the same thing you did and it turned out horrible !
one hour is not long enough for the fluids to seep out before applying the film.
but if you re-read my last post you would see that it's totally different from the method and instructions you did.
I posted step by step time frames that are important to using this product,if you don't do that exactly then yes,you will get bad results.
honestly I have used this product several times with success after the first time, and it really does work,IF you follow my method ! even though nobody likes me here, (I really do know what I am talking about)
you HAVE to give the fluids time to seep out BEFORE applying the film.
and BTW,I also posted that I prefer the Saniderm version.

Aw, bummer about the contest (though I understand why you might want to suspend/rethink it). I wonder if some of the lower participation isn't down to people being intimidated by the amount of jaw-dropping large-scale work that has won over the last year. I know I wouldn't mind seeing more badass small-to-medium one-shots in these things...

I was nervous when I started below t-shirt line. Being a professional, I wasn't sure how it would go over. I wore long sleeves while at work for about a month. I finally realized I just didn't care. If I'm good enough at what I do or the service I provide, it shouldn't matter. So I stopped. I've come to find, even when meeting with millionaire developers or "old money" powerful people, the majority are mainly curious.
In fact, even at big meetings, it seems lately that the first 5 or 10 minutes is questions about my tattoos. Of course the first one is always, "did it hurt?".
The only time I wear long sleeves now is for protection from the sun, if I'm going to be working in the field all day.
