@Liz Stitch Ellis...congrats on the amazing accomplishment.
For me, this past week was pretty good... I went to a game at Yankee Stadium, took a nice long motorcycle ride to get some kick ass bbq, found a cool little unknown tattoo shop loaded with amazing flash and spent some time at the indoor shooting range. A very therapeutic week but reality set in quickly back at work today.

Since beginning my journey into fitness/health (52lbs lost as of yesterday's weigh in!) I've been getting much more inventive with cooking; i'd always relied on fat, salt, etc to make things taste good. Now that Im cooking more balanced meals I've had to really stretch myself to make it interesting and satisfying while maintaining the caloric guidelines I set on myself. I've been really pleased with how things are coming out, and was recently asked to teach a 'healthy cooking' class for my weight loss group.
Oh. And I celebrate every 10lbs lost with foie gras and charcuterie, so I'm not a total square!

I've got a couple quickie sessions planned for the Fall.
OllieXXX finished this bad ass whale on the back of my thigh and my knee ditch is now blasted in and healed (thank god). Got another short session to join up the other pieces he did on my lower leg.
I also got another session or two w/ my pal Casper to fill in the matching peonys on the inside of my thighs.
Then time to start bank rolling my cash and save up to start an a back or stomach piece of epicness during winter months.

Actually, that's right in the middle of the country...EVERYONE should come to Chicago!!!!
I can put up a few of you, but if any Aussies make it, I'll reserve the first two couches for them-after that, it's floor space and camping! I've got 8 acres surrounded by about 500 acres of corn, so there's plenty-o-room for a tent, and you can be at the from door of DEluxe, Taylor Street, or CTC in under 2 hours.

I'm 5'11'' about 320lbs and i'm still sexy.But i do have those stretch marks on my stomach,and love handles on the sides.I probably won't get tattooed on that area until i drop 40-50lbs.The last tattoo i got was on the inside of my upper arm where i have the meat hooks,and i had to get the tattoo in closer where the skin doesn't hang so much.
I did see a big girl on the boardwalk yesterday,and she had pink hair,and some tattoos,and it enhanced her sexiness.

I love this story.
A 50- something year old white woman arrived at her seat on a crowded flight and immediately didn't want the seat. The seat was next to a black man. Disgusted, the woman immediately summoned the flight attendant and demanded a new seat. The woman said "I cannot sit here next to this black man." The fight attendant said "Let me see if I can find another seat." After checking, the flight attendant returned and stated "Ma'am, there are no more seats in economy, but I will check with the captain and see if there is something in first class." About 10 minutes went by and the flight attendant returned and stated "The captain has confirmed that there are no more seats in economy, but there is one in first class. It is our company policy to never move a person from economy to first class, but being that it would be some sort of scandal to force a person to sit next to an UNPLEASANT person, the captain agreed to make the switch to first class." Before the woman could say anything, the attendant gestured to the black man and said, "Therefore sir, if you would so kindly retrieve your personal items, we would like to move you to the comfort of first class as the captain doesn't want you to sit next to an unpleasant person." Passengers in the seats nearby began to applause while some gave a standing ovation

Finished up the flaming sperm whale on the back of my leg. Survived the knee ditch without magic soap. Jesus. Christ. We have another session left to fill in some of the cracks between the whale, the shark and the octopus on the lower part of the leg. Sea monster leg sleeve hooray!

I was watching that show intervention,and the drug therapist said that relapse is part of recovery.I would have to agree with that for at least 50% of addicts.I used to smoke PCP everyday for years,and rob money from my brother and mother until my mom had enough and said either go to rehab,or get out of the house.I was 23yrs old at this time.I wen't to rehab,and after two days there,i called a taxi,and left the place.when i got home she said either go back to rehab,or get out of the house.well i ended up going back to rehab for 23 days,and when i got out,i was straight for 5yrs without meetings or anything,but i was so depressed,i ended up having a few beers one day.After i relapsed,i started going to meetings,and have been sober for 17yrs.
Recovery is a one day at a time thing,that lasts a lifetime.The real problem is the person,not the drugs.We just try to escape ourselves through the use of drugs,because we don't like the way we feel.I would also suggest going to some Al-Anon meetings to better understand your daughter's addiction.

Find an Al-Anon meeting-definitely worth checking out. I'd also make her staying in your house conditional on her attending a twelve step program. Your house, your limits and boundaries. What your daughter is going through sucks, but you have to do what's healthy and sane for yourself and the rest of the people in the house. If she can't do that, tell her she's going to have to figure something else out. As someone with experience in the area, sometimes the only way to find your bottom is when it's sitting on a curb next to all your worldly possessions.

cocaine addiction is rough. i spent 2 solid years using on a daily basis along with other drugs, but the cocaine was always in me. rehab for me was a must and AA meetings daily since. a complete life change was the only way and it has still been very hard. give her a few ultimatums and offer your help (rehab/AA/NA). but allowing her to stay in your house is only hurting her. its enabling her. she will not quit until SHE is ready. no matter what you do.
