Yeah that video is great. Just watched it, thank you @Stewart Robson for uploading it. But really if Hooper spazzed out after doing so many palms and fingers himself... would have made it even better. But he sat there like a baus.

I love the Pecker vs. Hooper palm video. Cracks me up how much Oliver freaks out (not that he shouldn't, I've never had my palms tattoed and thought the chest was horrible) its just entertaining. And then Hooper just sits there like a statue, perfect ending.

You bring up a good point @slayer9019 I would say a snob has to get tattooed or drink what's popular, vs an enthusiast is always searching to discover their next favorite or diamond in the rough.

Bring that I'm going for full donbori my tattoos will be by one artist. But for feet, arm pit, hands and palm (when the time comes), and if I can find some one willing chode....those I want to get done by as many artists as I can.

Jake Adelstein, one of the authors of the article, wrote a pretty good book called 'Tokyo Vice' on his time as a crime beat reporter for the Daily Yomiuri ... (just recognised the name)
To be honest, as I've gotten progressively more tattooed each time I visit Japan the more I find myself opting to cover up. People sometimes say 'times are changing' and imply that attitudes are softening but from what I can see it is still a scenario where it is just easier to cover up, rather than get turned away from a nice restaurant or bar. It might not be 'fair', but when in Rome... Unless you are hanging in a really bohemian environment for your whole trip it feels like the path of least resistance to don long sleeves and whatnot.
That said, I guess CaptCanada is the man best placed to give us the inside scoop.

Well I don't carry anything anymore, when I did back in the states I had a Gerber Gator. Now here in this country I'll be taken to the police station to fill out a report if I have any type of blade..... But two days out of the week I walk around with a 6 foot bo staff, no problems what so ever, go figure.

This confuses me, why only go to cheap shop for a wrist script? Imagine getting something from say Katie Sellergren. Right off the bat he would have an awesome tattoo that's well written. Sure script on the wrist isn't the best tattoo placement and size wise, but he's 63... even if his wife gets angry so what.

My name is Kye and I'm now 24. Born is Arizona and lived there till I was 15, I moved all around the valley during those years. After that moved to Sacramento until I finished HS. Came to Japan the day after graduation, mostly as a "fuck it, I'm young. Do something stupid" moment. Yet I'm still here, and now manage a club. When I lived in the states I really loved cars, BMW e30 were my favorite. Still want to get back into one, just no chance of driving over here... Don't really know what else to add.

This is none of our business... Unless you donated something to the museum, then maybe yeah... But from what I deduce from the press, by using two different translators, and one good fluent friend...
They being, the "grant money lender(s)" have done the usual last resort, and taken possession of any and all property in an effort to freeze the assets until money or other collateral has been levied, in order to make up for someone taking a large sum of grant money, and not doing what they said they were... If they were supposed to be doing unemployment outreach (where a contract is usually signed), and instead blew the funds on something else, they are up a shit creek without a paddle. It doesn't matter who was wrong or right, the goverment is straight pissed, they never give money away, and when it comes back to bite them in the ass, you better be sure they are gonna come after whatever the hell else they can. God I hope they release a statement that's not social media fluff... this could be bad...
I wish I could say more, but... Seriously none of our business to know what exactly is going on, just be supportive... that's all.

Yeah, it's amazing how popular that spot got for how painful it actually is..... the good ol' days when women got "badass bitch badges" and men got arm bands that wouldn't wrap all the way around cause they heard the inner arm hurts.
