    First hand poked tattoo!

Well, i'd been curious about hand poked tattoos, but wanted this tiny one so went for a walk in & it just so happened that's how he did it 2 days in & I keep forgetting it's there! Done by Mike Love @ Black Market Tattoos in Leicester, great dude

  2. You feel you were overcharged by $200, but you left a $100 tip?? That'll teach him ... NOT 1 hour prep, 30 minutes lunch, 15 minute break each hour, I'd look for another artist. I don't want to sit for 6 hours to get four hours worth of tattooing. Also, every time he takes a break, you have to get into the zone again. My guy usually goes about 2 hours between breaks.

  6. This is about as close to the internet as this is getting, but couldn't resist posting a peak of this silky smooth background action from Edmonton's fav underground tattooer (as I'm sure @bongsau would agree).

    First hand poked tattoo!

Very nice work there. I also have a couple of hand pokes, and planning to get some more. I quite like the relaxed and quiet vibe vs. machine tattooing, and being able to feel and appreciate every single dot that makes up the design. I also feel like they heal faster, but I haven't had a black linework only tattoo done by machine for ages, so it's probably not a fair comparison.

    Armpit Tattoos

I've thought about getting my pits done. It's just such a damn good spot to hide a namakubi or some shunga. I've never heard about the damage of the sweat glands so I actually looked it up. From wiki: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sweat_gland#Eccrine First, this is why you should keep your pits trimmed; that bacteria just sits in there and stinks up the place. Second, I'm not an anatomy scholar, but from the sounds of it, if tattooing did indeed damage the apocrine sweat glands, I'd be okay with the loss. I'm pretty sure that the strip up the middle of a Japanese bodysuit is just superstition and not grounded in reality.
