  2. Going to bump this thread up, because tomorrow I am going to start lines on sleeve #2, also from Scott Ellis of Triple Crown. Scott has become quite the world traveller, and has spent most of the last six month popping around Europe tattooing at some of the continent's most famous establishments. After the lines tomorrow, we won't do shading until April. Will post photos.

  4. I am not a snake fan but my snake tattoo is super perfect! I didn't think that I'd like it as much as I do. Net - don't rule out a snake!

    Milky blotches?

Yup. You never hear anyone say, "I just let it heal by itself and I'm having this problem." It's usually that they are putting a quart of the latest Tattoo cream on it every day. I've cut back my after care drastically from when I first started getting tattoos and I don't see any difference in healing at all.

Not the greatest pics but here's the ship on the back. Color fresh, outline and shading 2 weeks healed. Dagger is about 3 months healed.

    Latest tattoo lowdown.....

Outside of same leg... There's a tall ship on the back calf and a dagger rose down the shin. I'll try and see if I have good pics of those.. Jason did these too.

  8. Actually, I don't think you'll get one on this forum. ........Now the spots that are left on both of my arms is the inner bicep. I'm scared [emoji846]......... And well you should be. That's the only area that gave me real pain. But, you'll do it and make it through. And it will be worth it.

I shoot for 15% to 20% based on the estimated cost of the tattoo. I don't usually carry much cash, so I hit the ATM before my appointment. I also always tip in cash so it's their choice whether they report it. When I was getting my half sleeve I was making a set of wooden toys for my grandson and knew my artist had a son of about the same age, so I made a second set for him. Gave it to him at my last appointment... it was a hit. 🚚

  10. I'll give a flat $50 many times, more if it comes out to less than I thought it would. But the $50 x 4 or 5 sittings for a single tattoo adds up.

Yeah, it's like that in many places in Europe. 20% is what I usually do, but I know that all artists don't expect that every time.
