  1. You sure got to eat at some great spots when you were in London.

    - - - Updated - - -

Even the Eds Easy Diner, in Soho (which is shit in my home town) is ok. There's even a Michelin starred restaurant, Arbutus, in Frith Street.

FST have got some amazing artists visiting over the next few months.

We did!!! My waistline has been feeling the effects!!!!

  2. @scott @Eilin is spot on about the Japanese restaurant. It's called Koya and its across the street from FST. I've only managed to get to eat there once and it was very good.

Its quite small and its not unusual to see a queue waiting for a seat. Most of the restaurants in China Town aren't up to much. I've been in Gourmet Burger Kitchen (about three doors away from FST) a couple of times. They serve a good burger. The only thing is that if you have an early appointment theres not much to choose from. The Breakfast Club is also supposed to be good, although I can't vouch for that. You'll also get a very nice bacon & brioche roll at a pub called the Spice of Life. Thats next door to the Palace Theatre in Shaftesbury Ave a 5 minute walk from the shop.

I have done the breakfast club and it was rather good. Another busy place that is small so there can be a wait there as well.

  3. So far for me it has to be knee caps, but I start my back piece in a few months so I'm sure my perspective will change. I'm hoping my back will not be like my knees but from what I've been told it will be.

The back feels like you're being drilled on your spin or kidneys. No matter where you're being worked on. The pain gravitates to those 2 spots. Which doesn't compare to getting your ass done. That is the most unbearable of them all. Although I have never done knee caps. I have done armpits.

  4. Hello all

So here is my hello! I live in London but I am from Berlin so please forgive any spelling/grammar mistakes. I got my first tattoo about 10 years ago I think but wanted one long before that. I currently still have a lot of space on my body. I have only one biggish tattoo and a couple more small ones. I am booked in for another one in 2 weeks and can't wait! It's been a while since my last one and I had a massive urge to get something new. A lot of space on my body is kind of planned out but I always get new and more ideas. I love looking at tattoos and reading about them and that is why I decided to join. I am loocking forward to meeting people and broaden my horizon in regards to tattoos.

Welcome aboard!!! What are you planning for your next tattoo? And who is doing it?

    Cheers!

  5. SPOILER ALERT! - go watch your stories so we can chat, K?

I love quoting myself. Seriously though, fuck. Didn't see it going down like that.

That was a great call.... Didn't think about the way they did it but it was perfect!!!!

  6. Welcome aboard, look forward to you chronicling you laser removal adventures. Laser removal is a goal for 2014 for me and I could use any insight I can get. There have been others that have had laser removal treatments and went on to get some great tattoos in the treated area. Good luck to you.

    Cheers!

  7. I feel your sentiment... I love SF and the work that's produced up there.

Matter of fact, I just found out I'm getting a tax return!

Time to call S&S and make an appt. :D :D :D

Tax returns can be like a trip to Vegas... Sometimes good and sometimes not!!!!!

  8. I'm thinking that Daryl will have to kill Merle sometime soon. But what will Merle finally do to deserve it?

I can see that coming to pass. They like to take out a main character at the end of a season...

  9. Supporting cancer is really important for what ever reason. I missed the event but did see a few posts on IG.

I was diagnosed with stage 4 testicular cancer last year in April 2012, with help from the public our race of humans is (phucking cancer) and when i found out I feared the worst but was amazed by the advances in science. Its been a year now and i back on my feet and back with the lads in my UK based shop that I started in 2007, There is always a chance of it coming back and i have to be all clear for 5 years before I can relax. Fingers crossed, all my treatment chemotherapy (which sucked like you would not believe) has totally killed the tumour in my lymph node.

If this was 5 years ago i would have not been here now, and this is due to people like you guys getting up and not just talking about it that has helped millions like me. We in the tattoo industry sit in a privileged position, directly in the public eye and we have such a large network of fellow colleges that getting the word around really works quick and effective. My self and my employes tattooed moustache for free at my shop for the day and we got coverage in the papers and the queue was down the road, it really was the talk of town. Seeing everyone here doing events like this makes me proud to be a tattooer.

My heart goes out to the family and friends of any one involved.

KEEP IT UP FOLKES IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE!

Thank you for sharing your story. Attending the event was important to me as I lost both of my parents to cancer. My father was 60 and my mother was 70, they still had much more time and cancer took that away from them. So on the one year anniversary of losing my Mother I attended the Fck Cancer event. After she passed last year I went to Aaron Coleman to get a "MOM" tattoo so it was fitting to get something from him at the event. Like you said @Louisgoodwin it was a remarkable turn-out of tattooers and people supporting the event. Cheers to all that supported, in unity we have strength!

  10. So after much thought and not much planning, I've decided to head over to Europe for a week or so. I will be mainly going to travel to Zurich to visit friends of mine but I might be stopping in London or Norway as well as going to Berlin. I'm calling out to anyone who has ideas of tattoo shops or other random stop to stop by while I'm there (other than the obvious Frith St!).

Awesome, what time of year are you heading over there?

  11. Did you get to pick your artist or is it random luck of the draw? That's so awesome you got tattooed by Coleman. So many good tattooers that weekend. I wanted to check it out, but the financials were looking pretty bad.

You picked who you wanted. This was my 2nd piece from Coleman. I'm going to head back to Immaculate and get more done. It was a cool event, I live right by HB tattoo and past it a couple of times and it was always busy.
