jadore got a reaction from tatB in Undecided between a peacock and the representation of Babylon from the Bible!
I agree with you byzantine, I think I will keep these design for other tattos and will choose something which suits better the artist style. I already booked flight and paid the deposit, so I will not wait more and get something.

Just got thumbs up from ol' Rudy Fritsch about the Scottish Convention in march next year. Getting my second elbow tattooed. Iain Mullen did my right elbow more than three years ago, and him + Rudy finished my backpiece at the convention this year. So this feels just perfect. Looking forward a lot!

Finally I got my first tattoo, (sorry for posting similar content in my initiation thread).
The tattoo is a moka Bialetti, a pomegranate and a number one made by Luca Font in Milano.
At the beginning I had the idea of putting a skull at the base of the moka too.
We discussed with the artist and decided that another element such as as skull which is round would overcharge the image and putting two round element at the base of an object resembling a column would create the form of a penis. So he put a little number 1 at the base of the moka. I like this tattoo because it's simple, clean, well-placed, has the power of an advertisement being well balanced and reminds of Russian poster-avantgarde for the geometric aspect. I also like the fact that is not overcharged with colour but colour is placed only when it's needed, to emphasize the shape of an object: the metal glimpse of the light on the Moka and the shade of the pomegranate.

This is a bit of a joint effort. The Dagger, Collar, Angel and Reaper (2-6 weeks old) are by Fergus Simms - Melbourne Tattoo Company, and the Eagle Snake fight (2.5 months old) is by Jess Swaffer - Chapel Tattoo.
Wanted to wait until the whole spot was done before i posted them up! Super happy with them, and two of the nicest tattoo experiences (bar the pain!) I've ever had.

I had yesterday a tattoo by Luca Font (see my gallery) and booked already for a tattoo by Eterno. I'm really divided between a skull with circles and a Renault 4 or otherwise a threeheaded peacock. The tattoo would be placed on my rib cage. What do you guys think?

jadore got a reaction from marley mission in Dumb Hipster Tattoos
I'm getting soon a tattoo with a moka coffee machine, a skull and some pomegranates, I hope it won't be considered an hipster tattoo, since it's a coffe related tattoo and will be made in a style which is now considered quite on fashion by hipsters.

My first tattoo ever and upcoming tattooshould be an italian coffee machine spilling a stream of pomegranates and below the coffee machine a skull is placed like in a vanitas. The tattoo would be placed on the upper part of my leg. It will be made by Luca Font.

Yes, I'm really happy with my initial concept and I truly like the work of the artist, so I'm almost sure I will not get disappointed. I guess doing the first tattoo is a little bit like losing virginity or jumping from an high diving-board, you make a lot of thoughts about it, there's always this dialectic between regretting and not regretting the design but then I guess the more you get tattoed the easier is for you to get a new one. Looking forward to publish here the picture of the work in a couple of weeks!
