Yeah, this is a little absurd. Thirties??? I mean sure, maybe don't rush out and get your hands and face tattooed when you're 18, but I'd hope the average person on the cusp of 20s doesn't need an entire decade to make a good decision.

She'll be ready to bang through the hills next Saturday. Spoken to some of the boys and sweet, one of the boys can pull this down and rebuild these with his eyes closed. I don't think I'll test him on those abilities, just a general orientation will do.

Far east Norway. As well known we have some brutal winters, so the "bikeseason" is quite fragile because of unstable weather and short summerseason. So whenever there is time I take a swing on my 1955 Triumph.

I think it's rude when people ask how much did you pay..for anything. It's none of their business, and with my close group of people, it is never done...so then if it's divulged it's because the person has chosen to. For us, it's called respect. It's the same with why? questions. What the fuck do you mean why?, why? are you a Police Officer...I must insist to see your badge before answering any more questions. General respectful conversation should not consist of how much's and why's. But that's how we were brought up.
On the other token, and this has been discussed through these pages recently. If a person asks me how much my tattoos cost, then they're clearly not the type of individual I feel like associating with. It ain't about the money...it goes way further than a materialistic acquirement. It shows me how shallow a person is especially when the cost of tattoos is asked. they will never understand our lifestyle, now nor would I want them to.
Don't take me wrong. I'm not having a dig here. We are all taught a certain set of principles from an early age, and I do not believe that how strict I see certain things as being the pinnacle of expected behaviours. We're all very different with different expectations.

Related to this, I'm seeing a tendency among the "I'm a gentleman tattooer, I'm 20 years old, have a moustache and face tattoos, BOLD WILL HOLD" crowd for tattoos without outlines. They're all ripping off some European tattooer whose name I don't care to know but often pops up on those idiotic "HERE ARE 20 TATTOOS THAT WILL MAKE YOU WANT TO PUNCH YOURSELF IN THE DICK" kind of sites.

Nice. You remind me of when I got my Triumph. The story of when you get that bike is an awesome thing indeed. I love the single carb, let the other guy have twice the trouble.

Maaaate. I've had a very lucky day. Jumped on the Harley this morning risking life & limb to crunch it across the other side of town in crazy peek traffic to look at this Tiger.
Apart from nearly getting T Boned from an impatient bastard running a red, I made it.
Jumped off the Dyna, took a deep breath in, rolled a smoke and took 3 minutes to collect my thoughts.
The bike was inside, and as soon as I seen her, I was in love.
I gently ran my fingers across the guards & tank..lay on the ground & had a little look at her under carriage, ran my hands across her seat..straddled her, and put the kick stand up.
I turned her on, & kicked her into life, 1st kick...and as that single carb model sat purring like a kitten not missing a beat...I didn't even need to take her around the block.
I kicked her down to first, then turned her off. Old mate just starred at me and I starred right back with either of us saying a word for a minute. Then all of a sudden, we both flickered a smile & I just nodded my head.
I turned to the bike and thought for a minute, then turned back to old mate & offered him a price $1000 under what he was asking. He said yes, I asked with a new battery, tyres & 12 months rego. He said...battery & tyres yes, you sort the rego. I leant across & as a sign of good will handed over a thousand deposit & the deal was done.
A 1978 Triumph Tiger with 4600 miles on her. A 35 year old brand new bike. Triumph produced 5 Bonnevilles to 1 Tiger hence why everyone seeks a Bonny. But this little 750 Tiger is a rare treasure.
What an awesome day.
