    awesome!
I feel you, but all indications are that it's safer here in NYC than other places now. I've got a session planned for this Friday in Brooklyn and not worried.
    Cheers!

Garver to continue on my arm and Rubendall to finally finish my leg! I had appointments in April for both then you know, the Corona. I am a little twitchy about flying to NYC for Garver, TBH. I plan to drive to LI for Mike.

I wouldn't go to an artist that specializes in black and grey to get a color tattoo. Kind of like going to a proctologist because you have a cough. It doesn't mean they can't work on both ends, I just like specialists.

that's normal and what all tattoos do over time, don't try and have it "fixed", that will not do any good.

I think I'd start all over and get a cover up. Just tie in lots of flowers and girlier things, if that's what interests you. Those are very faded and not particularly well excuted.

That's a tattoo btw. I was thinking on turning it into half a sleeve maybe or some kind of background. But these mixed feelings make me depressed

Hello Last Sparrow Forum.  Got my first tattoo around 1999 at 222 Tattoo in San Francisco.  (Just to put the time in context: this was so long ago, I had to type out my idea, print it out, and FEDEX it to the shop.  Also, I actually picked up the phone, and called to make an appt)  Stopped getting tattooed around 2002.  At that point, I had an above the elbow half sleeve and 1/2 chest panel.  I didn't get tattooed again for 15 years.  Jumped back in in 2017, when I saw the amazing things that people were pulling off now.  I feel pretty fortunate to have gotten tattooed by some really cool artists.  Finished my right arm this last Christmas, and I have 98% of a full chest done.  I didn't plan on a sleeve or a chest piece when I got my first tattoo 20 years ago.  I had NO plan, but in my opinion - it's a testament to the power of great artists that my patchwork collection of dissimilar ideas can live together in some cohesive way.  I put a bunch of pictures down below.

I'd hold off on another one for a bit if this one is this concerning.
Nothing to do now other than to grow to love it, which you've indicated you already do; it ain't going anywhere.

Josh Henderson, the guy who does most of my work, has a lot of his artwork up for sale on Big Cartel. I already have some, but I may buy some more.

I commissioned this from Yoni Zilber!
Just saw it reposted on a new page called Tattoo Love Care, https://www.instagram.com/ttt_l_c/, created by @blackclaw @tttism @zacscheinbaum. Their description is "Aid-Promote-Educate. A place to help tattooers in need and discover new artists, causes and events."
    Check it out!

I show u the first draft that the designer did on my arm. I think works and it is really suitable for my arm. Just the direction was wrong so he is changing it

Plus aren't chrysanthemums a fall/winter flower? And sakura are definitely a spring flower. So you might remove the cherry blossoms and replace with maple leaves, but even then, there's really a lot going on.
The sketch itself is nice, but the images are very compressed.
Did you design this yourself? I like the style of the waves, certainly, but something seems static about the picture. It should of course seem completely vivid and in motion.
That's my 2 cents and I'm by no means an expert and don't mean to offend.

It does look super static and very cluttered. I'd start paring down a bit. Too much "stuff" in such a small space.

Think less is more. Unless you have a giant arm, you have more than enough going on. Let the design breathe.

Three koi on one arm seems a lot. Also, wind doesn't seem intuitive, because they don't fly. You could pair with autumn flowers like maple leaves. Ultimately I think you'll have to decide if you want traditional Japanese or more modern, and then from there how trusting you are of the tattooer that he/she's going to do the right job.
