All have been amazing so far!!!
Here's a panther and some roses done by Jebb Riley, done at Congress st tattoo. This was a spur of the moment cover up started while I was waiting on Chad Koeplinger to color in my chest eagle. He was running late, so I made good use of the down time. Done in 3 sessions. Second pick is a half shot of it healed several years later.

I didn't see anything in the rules regarding multiple submissions... so here is another panther done buy Nick Colella at this year's Montreal Tattoo Art Show. Healed pic

Here's a panther bursting free from a rose.  This was done a little over three years ago by Chad Koeplinger and is a bit beat up like a tattoo should be.

Let's keep this momentum going! My panther vs. snake by Bailey Hunter Robinson. This tattoo just celebrated it's 5th year looking out at the world. Done in one sitting with about 4 hours of tattoo time, while Bailey was still in NYC.
This was my first big tattoo, and I'm still stoked on it everyday!!!
    Play on LST.

Greetings! I've been lurking for months, and figured maybe it's been long enough to start getting creepy. So, here I am, all registered and introducing myself. I'll try to keep it shortish (I tend to be long-winded in text).
I've always been fascinated by tattoos, and got my first one as a gift for myself just after my 18th birthday (very conservative parents - no way would they sign off earlier). It was done by a popular local shop and I was pleased at the time, but it did not age well (as no small lettering in another language will), and I got tired of translating it for people pretty quickly. Lesson learned. It was on my right shoulder blade, and I got two more done before I stopped tattooing in my early 20's. My then-boyfriend/now-husband is not a big fan of tattoos.
Jump forward 20 yrs, and my husband encouraged me to go ahead and get another tattoo if that's what I wanted. I think he realized I wasn't just going to stop thinking about it. I warned him that if I started again, I probably wouldn't stop, and still waited until my 40th birthday to get my fourth tattoo. That was nearly 2 yrs ago, and I've gotten five more since (plus my first one covered up, so six), with an appointment for another tomorrow. They make me happy. :-)
Here are the most recent pieces (all on my forearms except the snake/quill, which is on my right outer calf)...tomorrow I get a lace/rose piece of some sort (won't know exactly until I get there) for the opposite side of my skull cameo forearm. I'm pretty excited to see what the artist (Andrew Hauck/Ghosts of Grace Tattoo Collective) has drawn up for me!
Thanks for letting me join - nice to "meet" you..

ok - I'm gonna be first to enter with my Robert Ryan Mandala Leopard which resides on my stomach - hopefully the leopard can qualify as its the closest thing to a panther that I have - no hard feelings if it doesnt meet the qualifications - done at Electric Tattoo in Asbury Park NJ - if you havent been tattooed by Robert or been to Electric - well...you're missing out - luckily I live only short drive from the shop - anyway - here you go...btw - this tattoo also made his awesome book - The Inborn Absolute :)

Soooo, after having lurked around for a while and posting some comments in other topics, I guess I'll make a proper introduction.
I'm an aspiring apprentice from the Netherlands, 26. Before you all get your balls in a twist: I'm not here to find an apprenticeship or get information on what tattoo machine is the best buy for ruining someone's life. I haven't ever touched a tattoo machine and won't before my future teacher says I'm ready. I know that's somewhat of a taboo around here (and rightfully so), so I just had to get that out of the way. I might post some of the art I make for my portfolio in the 'Art Show' topic, as I already have, but that's it. If you are really interested in my drawings you can also look me up on instagram under the same name as I use here. (@exiny)
I consider myself, as most of you do, a 'collector'. Got my first shitty tattoo during the emo-age at 14, wich I have covered now. Working to someday achieve a full (neo-traditional) body suit. I'm still ways away from reaching that goal though. So far only my left arm and chest is done. I got an appointment to start my right sleeve the 4th of februari. I mostly read LST at work when I have some spare time. I love tattoos. I love reading about tattoos, I love looking at tattoos and I love talking about tattoos. Tattoos.
    Any questions, just ask :)
Also, here are some of my tattoos (done by Theo Zinas) :

do you have an artist in mind? that is much more important than choosing the perfect google image/ stock photo to use as reference.

Grew up in ny in the 80's and had a cousin that was super into New York hard core. He explained to me back then that straight edge skin heads (as they were known back then) were the opposite of nazi skin heads. I took that to mean they weren't racist. He also said they abstained from booze and drugs. A noble course for sure.
But they were also super into their lifestyle and weren't always nice to those who chose a different path. But still I appreciated them way more than the nazi skin heads.
Ive met a lot of straight edge folks through the tattoo world. Funny story... I follow a guy on Instagram who happens to be straight edge. I didn't know this at the time. He was always posting pics of himself in front of strip joints. I remember thinking, "wow, this dude really loves strip clubs" until I realized it was the XXX from the strip club that he was really showcasing. The whole "edge is everywhere" bit. I laughed pretty hard cause for the longest time I thought he was just a bit of a perv. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

As for myself, I am more of a wiggly edge dude.

Here are crappy pics of my left arm. Through a mirror no less. Jason Scott did all the background work and left the perfect amount of negative space in my opinion. All the little blue flowers and vine swirl stuff was done by him.  I love what he did.

These are both a year or more old at this point, but I never actually put them in this thread.
The death's head moth was done by Oliver Peck when he guested at Kadillac Tattoo Mt. Airy (Philadelphia) last summer. Not the best picture, but he ended up slipping a lot of hot pink in there that wasn't at all what I'd expect from him. In the end, I loved it and was happy with how it came out. Getting tattooed by Oliver is as great as you'd expect. I had just gotten my shin done by Scott the week before and mentioned in our emails; Oliver came barging in yelling, "Lemme see that Scott tat!" right off the bat. After we were done, he actually took his shirt off and showed me a ton of his tattoos from Scott, Trevino, Rassier, Stell, etc. So fucking awesome.
The torch moth was done by Keith Reed at X-Treme in West Chester, PA shortly after they moved to their new location. This was a "thank you" tattoo for helping them move. Keith is the best. Just an every day, no-bullshit, hard-working tattooer. Without him, I wouldn't know shit about tattoos.
Not the best pic in the world, but @Dan and I were chatting back and forth and I realized I should probably upload em. Once that Grez knee you can see half done gets finished, I'll hit up the squidpants thread.

    Hi Charles, welcome to LST.
Could you point us to a website or any online reference that shows your tattoo work other than what you have posted in our gallery? Tattooing for 20 years you should have a lot of work to show us, and we'd love to see it.
