Let's be honest here, nobody "kills" lace tattoos because, like every other Pinterest/google image search trend, they aren't tattoos. Not saying that somebody couldn't do a nice ornamental tattoo using lace as an inspiration, but the stuff that's on the link above isn't what we would consider here to be good tattooing.

There's nothing wrong with going to different artists for different tattoos. That's how most of us here get tattooed.
With that said, I'd suggest reading this thread before committing to a lace tattoo. I think there are ways in which you could take the inspiration from lace and make a nice tattoo out of it, but looking at that link you provided, a lot of those tattoos are going to be a total mess in a few years.

Oh my goodness, there are a lot of tattoo shops down on Magazine. If you go, get a po boy and an Abita at Parasol's.

Also, there are tons of awesome tattoos to browse through right here! In threads like "latest tattoo lowdown" or in the site's gallery section. Might find some inspiration there. I agree with finding the best tattooer possible though; a memorial should be of a standard that the person being memorialized deserves.

1st = Do you know what "style" of tattoo art you want?
next = Keep in mind that whatever you end up picking - it doesn't have to be a "traditional" representation of a memorial tattoo. Anything that reminds you specifically of her or something you two shared and which brings a smile to your face will work best.

I feel like I've been talking about it forever, but I guess I booked pretty far out. I had my "official" consult with Grez at King's Avenue for my left arm that will start in two weeks. I'm doing a 3/4 sleeve, and we decided on an eagle fighting a dragon. I knew I wanted an eagle, so then we kinda worked through some options. I'm mostly letting him run with it, as everything I've had him do for me so far has been perfect. Haha. I can't wait.
