Dan reacted to Gingerninja in London Tattoo Convention
LTC is no more which is a bummer but life goes on. Miki and Marcus did one helluva job putting on an amazing show for 15 years. It's crazy to think that the only time I attended was the last year of the show.

Dan reacted to an_inhaler in Initiation and post-tattoo anxiety
I will also give you guys an update on how things have been going on since that first post I wrote here 4 years ago. I was a huge help for me to get support here and maybe it'll be an inspiration for someone else to see how all the anxiety fades away with time.
I LOVE my tattoo. I've got two more since then: one pretty big one on my chest (beautiful blooming flowers) and a smaller one on my back. None of them is perfect, and I love them all completely.
I've never had any problems at work (in the university) and if anything it only makes my students more interested in me and my courses :). I've never received any negative comments about my tattoos anywhere actually, and they just help me to discover and embrace my true self, which has already brought me to the most beautiful places in life.
I am much more fulfilled with my life now than I was 4 years ago and the first tattoo was one of the first steps out of the life that I didn't enjoy.
Now I just want to get more of course.
Hugs xx

Dan reacted to suburbanxcore in Upcoming Tattoos
I've got four sessions lined up with Scott Sylvia through the spring and summer to finally start my backpiece. We'll see if and when I'll be able to travel and SF tattoo shops open up though... Some of those appts may have to be moved back.

No wrong answer here, only personal preference. I have predominantly mid-sized (hand or slightly larger) tattoos and love how they've sorta puzzle pieced together over the years, but there are always times I look at huge bodysuits and wish I'd gone that way too. But it always goes back and forth!

Dan reacted to DirtyLuck in Use of Painkillers
The only thing we will allow in our shop is ibuprofin or tylenol. If you come in inebriated, you will be asked to leave. Zero tolerance for it in our spot. People made stupid decisions sober, much less while f**ked up, also they tend to get super mouthy, wont sit still, bleed out quicker/more, and generally get on your nerves...

Dan got a reaction from Jaynahbah in Hello! Aftercare Advice??
perfect ! I always recommend and use Aveeno ! I am not a fan of trendy lotions and whatever, I use Palmers cocoa butter for the first week or 2( very very lightly) then switch to Aveeno.

Dan reacted to oboogie in Tattoo Blow Out Advice (I’m a newbie, go easy on me;))
I don't think lasers are going to do anything to a blowout. Even tattoo artists who have 20 years of experience don't always know what they are talking about.
I had a small blowout on my left sleeve on a very thin, sensitive part of my arm. My artist just covered it up with with filler when the whole arm was finished. There are ways around it, although that is A LOT of blowout.
