Pictures from my second and third sittings. My tattooist thinks we'll have it done in 7. Thank dog. The itchiness is killing me!
Hello friends. It's been a while since I've posted, as it had been a while since I've been tattooed. That ended today with the first sit on my back piece.Overall, I'd say it wasn't as awful as I expected, but certain areas were downright painful. Notably the bum. Next sit isn't for 9 weeks, so I've got time to mentally prepare myself for more pain.

Just over 10 years ago I made friends with this guy from Australia. We met in the emo (lol) chatroom on Soulseek. He moved to Toronto March 9th (a decision that had nothing to do with me) and we met up for the first time the weekend after that. As of April 4th we've been in a relationship. I've never been happier and more sure of anything in my life. Life truly is amazing at times.

Healing an entire back is no joke. Being itchy from your shoulders to your arse is likely to make anyone go crazy. My coworkers can see how uncomfortable I am, so they volunteer their nails and scratch my back without my consent, which causes me to run away yelling "fresh tattoo, fresh tattoo!"

I just had a big blow up with my dad's wife Friday night. At first he was on my side, but now he's on hers. He also suggested I have anger issues.
On the plus side though, I no longer have to be cordial or pretend to like her anymore.

Just got home from packing the back of my neck.
Fuck me is all I can say. Absolutely drilled the fuck out of me.
Not easy going for Ol mate either, belting into that weathered, rubbery skin.
Was a solid drilling to pack this area out.
Regardless, it's done. We never have to visit this site again.
Now, for post tattoo recovery. Hot shower/ cold cider hand in hand.

Hands down, one of the best backsides I've ever seen.

Currently trying to talk my cousin out of a tattoo party. But them 20-somethings think they know their shit, so I'll probably end up posting the disasters her party-goers get in this thread. Sigh.

I did a memorial tattoo for the women in my family who've passed from cancer. It is each of their birth month flowers. Turned out beautifully!

Here are some shitty -sorry, no S.O. to take pics for me- photos of my legs so far. The holes I've created on my right calf are beginning to bug me. I'll be filling most of the shin area next month with a chubby pinup. Can't wait to fill the rest.
Oh how my leg has changed in just a few short months.
I think my next move will be to cap my other knee. Then I need to work on the back sides. I'm too front-heavy.

2. The last of my original 4 (crappier) tattoos have now been covered with much better art. I know there are mixed feelings about covering previous work etc but 3 of the 4 were basically flash pieces off the wall and had no meaning to me at all. The 4th I wasn't happy covering but it was a decent sized piece in the way of doing my backpiece. It was sacrificed for the greater good :( . The 1st of these were done nearly 20 years ago and I like to think if forums such as LST and in general the www were around I would have probably made a more informed decision back then and probably not just picked flash off the wall.
I totally get this. I'm starting my back piece April '15 and it'll be covering 3 old tattoos. The two oldest, from '99 and '00, are terrible. Ive already had laser to lighten them and will be happy when they're no longer visible. The other, done in '07, I'm a little sad to part with. Stylistically, it's nothing special, it just holds a little nostalgic value. But, at the end of the day, if we want kick-ass back pieces, sacrifices are to be made.

I recognized that Ron Wells piece straight away. Definitely remember loving that when it was posted on IG.

Did you draw that yourself?
I was asked yesterday who designs mine. It was an effort to not reply in a 'the hell kind of stupid question is that' tone.

I agree with @misterJ. I dig the first idea, but I think it'd work better as a full sleeve.

Had to rely on google again.
I hope you know you're killing my faith in humanity at an alarming rate here...
Hmmm, maybe this will restore it? Just a little?

Had to google PUA.
Im a bit ashamed of my gender and generation for the fact that that actually exists.
Between PUAs and MRAs you have a lot to be ashamed about! I kid, I kid. Despite the craziness of both groups, I am confident, somewhere out there, decent men are still frolicking about.

Err...be nice and treat women like human beings, regardless of what they look like, and you'll get a positive response. Hot or not. And sometimes 'not' becomes super hot when you take time to get to know 'em.

This woman speaks the truth.
Also, stop getting dating advice from PUAs.

Trophy Tattoo (Hamilton, ont) is having their grand opening on the 21st and will be doing walk-ins all day. Super happy to have excellent tattooers more accessible to me, and so I'm going to celebrate by heading on down there to get a blue bird and love letter hopefully by Handsome Mike.

I'm getting married May 21st next year (and you bet my dress will be showing off my back piece!). I'm also moving into an amazing apartment in The Beach area of Toronto come September 1st.
