1. I watched this week's show on the Comcast On Demand and was able to fast-forward through not only the commercials but the couch crap, too! There are just a few lame artists left, so maybe they will actually start concentrating on the art and not the drama.
2. Wow! May I suggest a webcam? That way you can see from all angles, and even record it if you wish. Thru the ether from my LP2
3. Requesting opinions on this artist: krisford87 (instagram). I've been seeing his stuff around, and saw him doing a Dali elephant @ the Knoxville convention in August. Seems to do very good at detail and composition. I'm thinking about seeing if he can do my faked line (figure 8 of rope) that I want on my forearm. I'd much rather support local artists if their quality is great, and don't care about the top names. (Hope that doesn't sound bad - I do appreciate ALL good art!) custom tapatalk sig goes here
4. Olde Laundry Cart? custom tapatalk sig goes here
5. Rode to work all 5 days this week. Today the dash thermometer read 27 (F). Life is good when you have a GoldWing and Gerbing gloves & jacket liner! Looking forward to hitting some top roads like the "Dragon" come December, January, February as long as no frozen precip on the roads. Nice and deserted in the off season so I can just enjoy the ride!
6. Or, be the surprise third contestant in the final showdown (on a new contract)?
7. Benedryl seems to be about as useful as Aspirin! I found out last year that I have contact allergy to latex. BIG problem when you have a latex catheter in you over a weekend! Many artists like to use latex gloves, so from now on I request nitrile and will even supply them if necessary.
8. I'm quite lucky, actually. I have such a low tolerance for pain that if it gets real intense - I pass out! Can't feel it if you are unconscious! Now, that said I have had a 1.5 and 2 hour tattoo and a nipple piercing this year and none of them hurt very much. The artist warned me when she headed toward my underarm (just a half inch or so), but it was no worse. There was one place on the outside of my shoulder that felt like she was digging for bone, but it was just a brief unpleasantness. I'm planning one for my forearm from wrist to elbow that may take up to four hours and I don't plan to take anything. Might take Advil after to keep swelling down if it seems a problem. I know I'm a real wimp when it comes to pain, just so far haven't hit a sensitive spot. When you do, please keep me from hitting my head on the floor. Thanks!
9. Well, THAT was unexpected. One (Josh) of the two best, IMHO. Glad he admitted it was his screw-up and didn't play victim like Emilly. Thought the show did the right thing by standing by their contract, too. Or, it could all have been staged, but I was looking forward to the final, now it is pretty much a given. Thru the ether from my LP2
10. Knockouts like you and your mate there can probably get away with MUCH more than us homely folks. BTW, the necklace looks GREAT with your ink! Example-
11. "Jappalachian" - I like that. Whenever our daughter was asked for ethnicity on school documents, I always told her to put "Appalachian".
12. Tasted some Woodchuck the wife bought. Boones Farm (into the Wayback Machine, Chumley) was better, IMHO. I'll stick to Jim Beam, thanks. custom tapatalk sig goes here
13. Not an artist, but interested in any new art. I enjoyed your pictures. Several appeared to need a bit of touch-up when healed. Some not my taste, but everyone is different.
14. I really like the concept of your back piece. Looking forward to enjoying the progress updates!
15. Not certain (I'm AWFUL with names!), but I may have met him at the Knoxville convention this year. We talked about riding his motorcycle over. He has a small bike and I told him he could ride US70 all the way.
16. I've considered these to spook some coworkers and others (since I only have two fairly small tattoos) maybe upon return from vacation?
17. Many people feel tattoo remorse. Yours looks much too good to be on a "worst tattoo" list, and I doubt better ones around it will make it look worse. If YOU like it, that's what counts. Check with artists, and don't fell that you are tied to the first one you consult with. And, you don't HAVE to get more (unless you want them). That is entirely up to you.
18. I would suggest also to check with your artist. My skin held a tattoo very well at 61 (and 62), and I notice it easier for my skin to damage these days (though nothing as bad as you relate). I know how previous experience can jade us. I watched a tattoo removal the old fashion way - dermabrasion with rock salt - when I was in the Navy in the 70s. It kept me from getting a tattoo until I was 61. Good luck!
19. Nice design, well executed. Pretty girl looking very happy! Thru the ether from my LP2
20. I'm a bit jealous. Right at freezing last night and snow spitting. Had to dig out the gear liners and Gerbings. I'll keep riding as long as the roads are dry! Thru the ether from my LP2
21. Flowered dresses look great with tattoos if the colors go well. I'm a fan of dark green and most any shade of red/pink. custom tapatalk sig goes here
22. There are lots of examples of root tattoos around. All of the good ones that I've seen are big and bold. There are lots of examples of Good geometric tattoos around - all that I have seen are big and bold.
23. I'm much better, now. Two days last week sucked pretty bad, but it went away completely. When I was a kid, we made our own outfits, kind of competed with them. All our parents would do was find old shirts and stuff for us. Nowadays I pretty much ignore it. Kids grown and we live too far out of town for kids to make it to our door. Never got into the horror movies that are so popular now, with the exception of old b&w classics. An old fuddy-duddy I guess. Now, Groundhog Day - that peps me right up!
