Hello from Spain! (and advice please)

Recommended Posts

Hello everybody!

I was looking for some tattoo advice yesterday and I found this amazing topic in this forum called "The ladies thread". That made me wanna join the community 🙂

I'm getting a side ribcage tattoo tomorrow and I have a concern. Thing is I usually have my shoulders bended a little bit, you know like an old man. I can't really stand right, it hurts my back. I'm worried that the tattoo won't look straight since it is a quote. I mean, will the tattooer do it in my usual position or my straight position? I guess my normal possition, but still. I don't want the quote to look like a slide.

Thank you all in advance. Hope to have a great time sharing our tattoos and art.

Welcome.

Personally, I'd make the effort to strengthen my back. You'll have decades of thankfulness if and when you're successful. Most tattooists will want you to stand straight, 'cuz it'll be infinitely easier for you to correct your posture then to correct ink that is purposefully set in crooked.

You are right, SStu. It would look amazing and also I will have less pain in my back, but I'm afraid it's not possible for me to do that, or at least not 100%. I hope it looks fine, I'm kind of nervous.

Thanks for the advice 🙂

Today is the day and I'm feeling quite weird. This tattoo means a lot of me, things I've been dealing with since I was a teenager and I want to cry. Seriously, I'm like "this is a big decision". I'm happy and want to do it but I have this sudden strain on my chest. I've heard some people need time to adjust to his new "body" with the tattoo.

Good news! It turned out amazing! It looks even better than expected and the tattooer was very nice. It kinda hurted but in a good way, I can't explain it :)

Great experience.

    • Hey everyone, just wanted to give a quick update. I decided to go through with the tattoo on this coming Monday; but from what I've seen on instagram today, it looks like a family member has passed away and they will be taking some time off, so it may mean I'll be rescheduled again.  Would it be ok if I asked for my deposit back, I feel like it may be too heartless to ask, seeing as how it obviously was out of their control and they lost a family member. But I've used my last vacation day to reschedule with them and most likely won't be free until March next year. I think I should wait until they email me before I decide, but I would want to try to make an appointment with another artist I like asap to not waste my day off. Thoughts?

    • Hi all,   Long time posting here (I must post up my latest pieces here).   Myself and the better half our currently touring South East Asia for a few months and starting to get the itch for another tattoo...   Where we have left to visit is: Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia and the Philippines.   Does anyone have any particular shops or artists they could recommend?   We hope to make it to Melbourne at the end of the trip to visit friends (finances permitting!) so will definitely be getting work there if I don't get anything I'm Asia.   Thanks again, Paddy   Sent from my CPH1823 using Tapatalk
