    It seems that there's a tattoo shop on every corner in Glasgow now and only really 4 shops worth going to. Doesn't matter how many times you tell people about the good ones they always end up in some shite hole scratcher shop in possil or something. Had a wee look at your profile , how did you get on at irezumi ?

    Aye trad is a bit like that , different interpretations of Traditional themes , exactly the same as blues or jazz in music , however , photorealism is pure smoke on the water. how many times can you see exactly (not an interpretation of) the same tattoo of Salvador Dali twirling his mustache or Pinhead showing off his bad dental work ...

    Its very nice , and I love photo-realism, however , people use the same photos all the time . How many versions of that Marilyn or Hepburn can you see and all done extremely well. The tattoo version of Stairway to Heaven

    I get post tattoo healing anxiety with every tattoo , I cant help it. I think its in the Tattooers best interests to offer after care advice , they should want to see the thing healed and looking awesome , after all good looking work will generate further business for them and the studio .

    Still havent decided whether I want a full back piece or a few well placed medium sized pieces. If I get a back piece I am definitely going down the chimera route

    I don't see myself as a collector, I come up with ideas and live with the idea until im obsessed by it, save some money, then decide who I want to zap me, then decide on placement. I dont want to fill up every space of skin because I like my tattoos to be readable individually.

    @Scott R @RoryQ Thanks for he excellent responses. Looks like I need to start eating more !! I am that scared of putting the weight back on ! I have got a kettlebell and Pavel Tsatsouline's ETK DVD and I am going to work on that on the next few months. Hopefully that will start to make a difference.

    I know you guys are all mad lifters and all that , and this might be the wrong place to post this , but you guys seem to be the experts with all your mad jargon. I lost a lot of weight over the past year and with it a lot of strength. I was stronger when I was fatter funnily enough . How do you go about building strength up without bulking up too much ?

    Before I have huge breakfast , etc (being clean goes without saying)afterwards I like a few whiskeys . post tattoo diclofenac to reduce the inflamation, one of those cool pack icey things that you get for injuries, and booze
